Young and creative architectural office is formed by former OMA architects. In this young creative office i developed my leadership and organizational skills as i was positioned as the project leader for most of the projects i participated in.

09/2011 Denekamp museum project, Dinkelland/ Denekamp, Netherlands [NL] With SeARCH Architects i developed my skills and overall knowledge to a more insightful level. I was exposed to and learnt from Dutch design principles and strategies in residential design, urban planning, conceptual schemes, material analysis, sustainability research and product design. I managed drawings for Geert Groote college extension, headed the design for weaving factory in Bahrein, participated fully in Grevelingen information centre competition, involved fully in University of Gent competition. Also did a part of design and built a stool of faith series from SeARCH. I developed lessons and architectural skills from the first design approach to identifying and analysing complex urban structures for Amsterdam food centre.

02/2012-08/2012 TEARCHITECTURE: JUNIOR ARCHITECT www.tearchitecture.com Vilnius, Lithuania 02/2012-05/2012 Village theatre complex project, Kvietkine, Lithuania [LTU] 04/2012-08/2012 Recreational housing complex for festivals and tourism, Gatauciai, Lithuania [LTU] 04/2012-06/2012 Akmene main square competition, landscape design, Akmene, Lithuania [LTU] Tomas EIdukevicius invited me to work in his company while i had some time before my master studies in Delft. He asked me to do some interior projects mostly for individual houses and to work on some competitions. Also to be a consultant of materials, colours and furniture. I managed drawings, images for various housing projects. Real experience in building, designing, project realisation, choosing materials helped me to understand more the practical work of an architect.

05-10/2010 VMX ARCHITECTS: ARCHITECTURAL INTERNSHIP www.vmxarchitects.nl Amsterdam, Netherlands 05-06/2010 Ithaka housing project, Almere, Netherlands [NL] 07/2010 School Max Havela competition, Hoogvliet, Netherlands [NL] - 1st prize 08/2010 Friesland Campina competition, Wageningen , Netherlands [NL] - 2nd prize 07-09/2010 MF Aalreep school project, Hoogvliet, Netherlands [NL] 07/2010 Combiwerk project, Delft, Netherlands [NL] 05/2010 H&M House, Amstelveen, Netherlands [NL] With VMX architects in Amsterdam i made my first step to international competitions and real-time responsability for any task. Here i learnt not to struggle and make work approach and design decisions quickly and deliberately. Here i cought a huge interest in a matter of design. I carried out most aspects of the Combiwerk Delft project from the design phase to drawings, physical model, 3d model and schemes. Participated fully in competition of Praktijkschool Max Havela in Hoogvliet. I’ve seen construction sites of ongoing projects, which gave me more practical knowledge. I built final and working models during my time at VMX as well as final presentation packages, elevations, renderings and conceptual schemes.

SCALE Medium TYPOLOGY Regular perimetric built density TASKS To design a contemporary art gallery instead of a former cultural building cinema of ‘Lithuania’ PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION PROJECT LEADER DESCRIPTION A former Cinema of 'Lithuania' is a building of soviet modernism style and era. The building itself has caused many conflicts over different parties within civic society of Lithuania. To save or to demolish?

Cinema

Park

All the protests and initiatives organized by public society were directly oriented to the loss of public space next to the building. The existing building neglects urban context. The proposed design encompasses cultural and urban contexts. Cultural: the design suggests to save the famous public space. Urban: project suggests to recreate Old town's urban structure.

DESIGN AS POLITICS SIGNS OF IDENTITY: VILNIUS INSTITUTION TU DELFT

TUTORS Wouter Vanstiphout, Marta Relats, Leo van den Burg DATE 09 2013-06 2014 LOCATION Vilnius, Lithuania PHASE MASTERS GRADUATION PROJECT TYPE Research, Urban planning, Urban design

SCALE Very Large TYPOLOGY City, urban grid, urban blocks, public space TASKS To research alternative ways of handling postfinancial crisis through means of urban policy making, architecture and politics. Invent new planning paradigms and methods. DESCRIPTION This master thesis is a research, planning and design project in the academic field of urbanism. Research is focused on the urban development transition from socialist city to post-socialist city taking Vilnius as the case study. The main interest of this project is transformation of existing spatial planning system implementation using disused soviet modernism heritage structures as a subject to test the proposed system of spatial planning. With established awareness on this larger task at hand, focus is also brought on transitioning identity of VIlnius. The objectives of this thesis are to identify the relationship between finance, politics and spatial planning in the case study of post-socialist city: Vilnius. To analyze corresponding relationships, analysis of the context is carried out while zooming in throughout different scales: Lithuania, Vilnius, neighbourhood of Newtown and cinema of Lithuania. This method is chosen in order to understand connected systematic problematics. Another important stage is to research how finances take part in urban development processes. Challenge is taken to identify and find ways to employ planning policies, which are of essential importance in urban development projects.

PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION Concept design, 3D modelng, rendering, schemes, drawings DESCRIPTION The site of pavilion is ‘hiding’ in the corner of the park, with three sides currently stay as dead ends. To better connect the site with the garden, an external loop is proposed, to allow public to go through the site, making the park experience continuous. The external loop creates different experiences and relationships to the pavilion, integrating the public and the pavilion users. A front garden in the south of the site is proposed for outdoor activities. Defined by the canopy from the cantilevered first floor, the area is protected from the intensive summer sun and heavy rain fall.

TASKS Propose a future scenario for the city of Den Helder. DESCRIPTION Den Helder Free Energy Island is an utopian ideal, where energy is superfluous; in fact so abundant that meters are obsolete. The island region functions as an energy generator and thrives from its own product with minimal impact upon the planet it inhabits. Algaculture is the fundamental energy source, where a matrix of algae reactors is the starting point of urban synergy.

PHASE Built. TYPE Architectural design, Interior design

SCALE Medium, 2600 m2 TYPOLOGY Free-standing on river of Ij. TASKS I was asked to make a full 3D model of the project and to make it’s representational renderings, also some parts of interior design. PERSONAL CONTRIBUTION I was involved mainly in SD stage of the project: CAD drafting, 3D Modelling, presentation drawings, rendering. DESCRIPTION Situated at the widest point of the IJ at the junction of waterways: North Sea, Marken, Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, North Holland Canal and the Standing Mast Route, the new Amsterdam Marina is an excellent base for trips to the North Sea, the IJsselmeer and to the city. Located centrally within the marina on a wooden pier, the new Marina Building works as an extension of the existing wharf. A wooden perimeter loggia construction creates an open feel while providing a sheltered outdoor space and transition area between the building and harbor. The public end of the building features large glass windows providing expansive panoramic views across the IJ to Amsterdam’s historic heart. The wooden terrace and boardwalk take their cue from the existing piers and in combination with white mineral stucco walls, the building emanates transparency and a natural, warm atmosphere. Construction is on schedule for completion by summer of 2013 while the new marina
