It's thanks to these friendships that many of our wines are exclusive to us, imported directly from the Vineyards to our stores.

Firm favourites such as Château de La Cour St Emilion Grand Cru and Crous St Martin Châteauneuf du Pape are complemented by lesser-known delights such as Château Goudichaud Graves de Vayres Blanc and the new Ortswein from Oliver Zeter, his Riesling Trocken Haardt.

Chris shares his personal favourites for Christmas day... As family and friends begin to arrive, I like to kick things off with a nice glass of bubbles – Billecart-Salmon Brut Rosé Champagne, to please everyone. Once seated around the table, typically I will begin with a fine Burgundy for the starter and even the early part of the main course. We have some amazing vintages of La Dame de Malescot, 2009 and 2010, so I’ll treat them to one of those. To complement the main, there will definitely be something ripe and juicy from Bordeaux; Joseph Drouhin have been one of our favourite Burgundy houses – their Cote de Beaune Villages brings great memories – a Chianti Classico from Casa Emma, and finally the well-established seasonal favourite, Bastide St Dominique Châteauneuf du Pape.

We’ll finish with some Fabelhaft Ruby Port, and later in the evening sees a well-earned glass of Irish Whiskey; Redbreast 12 Year Old Single Pot Still should do just the trick, with its caramel nose and warm, spicy finish, it is a delight at the end of Christmas day.
