JOIN IN ERASMUS+ KA2 KNOWLEDGE ALLIANCE PROJECT FOR SOCIAL WORKERS Dorea Educational Institute is searching for partners in Erasmus+ KA2 Knowledge Alliance project. The project aims at improving the well-being of social workers that work with adults. The proposed project will capitalise on the outcomes/results of an existing project, WELNESS, which will officially end in December 2014. WELNESS clearly showed that well-being is a core inner resource that allows a person to use his or her potential fully, work productively, deal with stress and life challenges, which has great effect at professional and personal level. However, there is not enough support for social workers, who have to deal with a lot of stress during their daily working lives. The proposed project aims to compensate for this shortage by examining specific needs of social workers related to their well-being and develop a series of modules targeting social workers' well-being at professional as well as personal level. Among the outputs of the project will be:
an e-guidebook for the well-being of social work professionals;
an on-line platform;
a series of master class modules that will be uploaded in an on-line platform.
The e-guide as well as the modules developed will be available to all social workers, irrespective of the country of origin or specialization field. The on line platform will also have 'live' support for social workers, where they can exchange experiences and best practices as well as liaise with fellow colleagues, so it can act as a forum for social workers. From all of the above, it is obvious that the main objective of the proposed project is to enhance the well-being of social workers, which, in turn, will allow them to make best use of their potential, elevate their work performance and job satisfaction and prevent burn out syndrome. We are looking for HEIs, SMEs, Institutions (Profit/ non-profit) with professional experience in social work. Preferably in areas such as work with immigrants, prisoners, ethnic minorities and grief counselling.
