Based on environment spot, the environment figure will help form the shape of the design. The propose of this step is to get the general wind direction map from an outdoor space in order to have a general base shape about which direction should put the Wind Screen. Activity zoning and opening
Precautions
Openings are created based on the size of activity zoning as well as the openings which are directed by the WEAK wind directions, so that the wind screen will allowed people access easily and keep the inner zoning of wind screen still exists reasonable air flow constantly.
Folding deepness; material reflection about forces; ability of overcome wind force on each unit; unit supporting system.

With knowing a sense of wind speed in the spot will help figure out by minus a reasonable inner zoning of the Wind Screen, how much of the force outside the screen should be overcome. This data will be used as the resource for each unit on the Wind Screen so that the shape, size and structural tension will be calculated out. Structure Material: metal/wood To cut out the activity zoning, the rest of mesh will become the general shape for the wind screen.
Design Vision
Indoor space has a higher zoning control compared with outdoor space, for instance, interior space of a building usually has stable comfort temperature, intensity of light and keep people away from the wind interference. In real life when the weather is in good condition, people feel more relax in staying outside especially with nice landscape surrounded. Wind can affect people’s direct perception of the outdoor environment especially in places such as hilltop or by seacoast. This proposal is by using generating fabric design to create people comfortable air floating space for relaxing in outdoor space.
With the help of Ladybug Grasshopper plug in, a wind rose will be mapped out and its polyline outline will been used as the primary shape for the base outline of the wind screen. To achieve a smoother curvy wind screen surface, the original rigid polyline will be converted in to a close smooth curve which is considered as the map zoning. Structure System
The structure of the wind screen is created by taking the Voronoi, so that the tile units will be shaped more organically and naturally. The center of each Voronoi units will be a firm wire circle and wire framed to the edge of the voronoi shape. This allows the unit can be fixed in the air and without losing the movability but also keep the air flow at the inner zoning of the wind screen.

By taking the advantages from paper folding that I picked one method which is great in responding force: Unit size, density (voronoi), structure (voronoi point connection), folding pattern (more folding, more tension), layers (if needed) will be calculated by grasshopper (eg: kangaroo) Material: Flat plastic sheet material(units), wire
Aims:
Trying to offer a comfort air floating for people doing activities such as enjoying environment in stronger wind spot; reading; doing homework; wind protection shell; alive generating fabric design in artistic and practical approach with the help of grasshopper.
