PLEASE NOTE During the installation of Dippy, the Victorian Hall, Temporary Exhibition Gallery and Village Dorset are the NHM’s site and will be strictly off limits to all staff, volunteers and visitors except by invitation and prior agreement. For those who are invited onto the site there is one rule. You must be wearing steel toe capped shoes. Furthermore, no photography is permitted during the construction phase. Any unauthorised photography is in breach of our contract with the NHM and will have serious consequences.
No exceptions!

Reminder Would you please remember to wear your ID badge/lanyard at all times whilst volunteering at the Museum. We have many more new volunteers especially for the Dippy on Tour Exhibition and wearing your ID will help enormously with security. Once the Tomorrow’s Museum for Dorset building works commence, this will be equally important.
With the museum set to be open more hours each day and every Sunday during Dippy’s stay, the Visitor Services Team has been increased to provide adequate cover. Please do introduce yourself to members of the team (and wear your ID badge).

Welcome to our new volunteers:
