THE PANSY PATCH
LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT This past semester was a one to remember for Delta Omicron. We spent every last moment that we could in our facility, until it was time to begin tearing down so that we can build the new facility! We held a fun sisterhood event in the house in the final weeks before we had to move out, and wore pajamas, watched movies, and had popcorn and coke floats. We invited alumnae and actives to write some of their favorite memories on the walls, and it was no surprise at all that every single wall was completely covered. We used a few of our last days in the old facility to host our annual Crawfish for CASA philanthropy event. We were able to raise over $14,000 at this event for CASA! Many of our members were awarded for their contributions to campus in the spring. We had members get tapped into some of the most prestigious honor societies on campus, including Rho Lambda, Order of Omega, Omicron Delta Kappa, Mortar Board, Anderson, Blue Key, and the XXXI. We also finished the semester 5th overall in grades with a 3.53 GPA. Delta Omicron began this semester with an incredible recruitment, and we extended 143 bids to new members. We have already loved getting to know our new sisters, and cannot wait to see how much they grow over their four years as members of our house.
