KAPPA ALPHA THETA | DELTA OMICRON | JAN. 18
THE PANSY PATCH
LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
As we begin this semester, I would first like to remember the great accomplishments we had in the fall. Members dedicated themselves to many organizations on campus as well as to Delta Omicron as they continued to develop themselves into leading women. Our many philanthropic efforts raised over $32,000 this fall as we held events that supported many organizations, including Court Appointed Special Advocates and the Theta Foundation. We also won the award for Most Funds Raised from The B Positive Foundation, an organization that supports families who have a child fighting cancer. With the encouragement of The Be Positive Co-Directors, who happened to both be members of Delta Omicron, we donated over $17,000 to this cause. We also gave over 900 hours of our time to serve in the community, and are looking forward to many more service and philanthropy events this spring. This semester is a special one for Delta Omicron, as we will begin construction on our new facility in March. We are sad to see the house we currently call home go, but are excited to have a space that will support our growing size.

MUG DECORATING After dinner one night, we hosted a relaxing mug decorating sisterhood event. Members got to decorate coffee mugs any way they wanted to, and many decided to create cute Theta designs or ones relating to their majors.
BACHELOR WATCH PARTIES Continuing one of our most popular sisterhood events from last year, Bachelor watch parties are hosted in the den every Monday night. It’s a great way to kick-off the week and hang out with sisters.
ROCK ‘N ROLL DATE PARTY To kick off the year, we had our first day party. The theme was rock ‘n’ roll, and members had fun dressing up, hanging out with each other, and singing along to some classic rock songs.

FOUNDERS’ DAY Delta Omicron celebrated the 148th anniversary of Kappa Alpha Theta on January 27th and 28th. Alumnae were invited back to for a mixer in downtown Tuscaloosa on Saturday and a brunch at the house on Sunday. This Founders’ Day allowed alumnae to mingle with each other and current members while also getting a chance to say goodbye to the current Theta house before demolition begins in March.
