July 7 - International Chocolate Day Did you know? The International Chocolate Day has been commercially celebrated since 2009. It's believed the day is to celebrate the introduction of chocolate to Europe in July 7,1550. This is a day to indulge in your favorite chocolate, whether it is chocolate milk, hot chocolate, a chocolate candy bar, chocolate cake, brownies or something covered in chocolate. It has been celebrated on to mark the foundation of Chocolates in Europe at 1750 BCE. The chocolate will release pain-reducing endorphins into our brains as it contains theobromine, a caffeine-like stimulant, and anandamide, which is commonly found in our brain and it will produce those elusive warm fuzzies, similar to the impacts of marijuana. Now it's little easier to understand why we love chocolate so much, isn't it? Whether it's those feel-good results or simply the chocolate flavor that you like very much, it's hard to hold back when it comes to this sweet treat. Eating dark chocolates on twice or thrice a week has their health benefits also.

Make a thorough cleansing process of banks It is appalling and evident to note that jeweller Nirav Modi defrauded the Punjab National Bank and other banks to the tune of Rs 13000 crore where an internal probe found that 54 employees at different levels colluded and conspired with him, another allegation of scam came to light that DSK Conglomorate of Pune had defrauded Bank Of Maharashtra to the tune of Rs2043 crore which shook the bank's depositors and the whole nation. The Chairman and other officials were arrested by EOW at Pune for alleged colluding with the developer and also in sanction of loans in flagrant violation of RBI and banking norms. The DSK group collected Rs 1153.76 crore from 8000 public depositors, mostly senior citizens and diverted the money to 6 partnership firms. He had borrowed bank loans to the tune of Rs2892 crore for various projects which were not completed. by projecting a false and wrong picture about the company's
financial health. It is apparent and distressiing to note that the governing standards of banks have deteriorated and at low ebb which needs immediate remedy by the governmenrt. The already fallen out supervisory failure of bank governing board in the case of ICICI is also focussed and questionable. The banks are the repositories of public money and testimony of public trust and faith which are part of creating money supply and a developing economy. The RBI as regulator of all banks as well as government holding majority stake in public sector banks should play a pivotal and effective role in governing bank's boards. The role of the independent board directors and the government directors are being appointed for rules sake and they do not play an
effective role in pointing out any deficiencies and grave S. Ganapathy 7358768630 anomolies for immediate rectifications at the bank's level and need not be remained as mere yes masters for approvals, . The fact should be immediately addressed to RBI and the government. They are at liberty to give dissent notes if any of the banking norms are violated. and thereby assist the banks to function with robust health. The most urgent need of the hour which is crucial now is to thorough cleansing processes in the functioning of the banks vis-a vis greater accountability and even merger of smaller banks with big bank which will solve issues to some extent.
Stop Child Labour & Trafficking It is most discernible, work-force is employed in the disdainful and apathetic to unorganised and informal note that over 80% of Indian sectors. This includes agriculture, domestic work, daily wage earners, other home based and small scale industry. In the captal city of Delhi, it is distressed and agonised to note that a girl of 15 years of age was brutally murdered by chopping her body into 12 pieces by her traffic offenders. The main reason is, she asked for more wages. It is evident that our outrage is contingent upon our personal agendas and vendettas to our children that are hostages. Educated and civilized, we lack for communal and political gains in the death of a child. Finally, for no responses, we totally discard her other education, our development and our democracy abysmally failed in the face of our wrath and apathy. It is in this sector, the children are more abused through forced labour

Chandokya Upanishad A person who is abreast and well versed in vedas, his daily life is itself a ritual. The main diksha or principle of life is to be hungry, thirsty, bereft of pleasures etc. Eating, drinking and enjoying the pleasures of life is called Upastham. The dakshinas (art of giving) is tapas, charity, straightforwardness, ahimsa, speaking truth etc. The death is the ultimate end which is called Abibrutha Snanam, the last bathing. The great king Janasruthi built multiple rest houses for the sake of the travelling public. in his kingdom. He also made so many arrangements to feed the travellers. He was happy to learn that all the people enjoyed eating his food and hence his name and fame spread like wild fire everywhere. One night, when he was asleep, two swans flew over his head.. One bird told the other bird, Hey, be careful. King Janasruthi is sleeping. Do not fly over his head.. His fame is spread like wild fire and it may burn you. The other bird replied that you are talking like the geat sage Raikwar who is with the bullock cart. The first bird asked, Who is this Raikwar? He is a reputed and renowned sage and extolled him. A person who is playing cards and loses, the money goes to the winner. Likewise all good
deeds done by good people reach him. He is a grat Gnani who knows everything. King Janasruthi who was sleeping heard the above conversations of the birds and remembered what it said. Next day, he called all his soldiers to search and find out one who is with a bulluck cart. Raikwar could not be found even after a long search. The king again asked them to find out by any means. Then the soldiers found a a person who is sitting near a bulluck cart who was seemed very dirty with old, torn clothes and was scratching his body. Then on enquiry, they came to know that he is none other than Raikwar. The soldiers then went and said this to the king. King Janasruthi then approached Raikwar with a band of 600 costly cows, a big golden necklace and a horse driven car and then offered as presents to Raikwar. The king then requested to narrate about the secret of life and how to pray?.Raikwar then refused to take all the offerings given by the king and asked him to leave the place immediately. The King felt sorry and ashmed and went back. After some time, he again went back to Raikwar with a band of 600 costly cows, a golden necklace and his unmarried beautiful daughter. He offered everything as Dhan,
presents with a village for him and requested Raikwar to teach the crux of life and about divine prayer. Raikwar saw the girl and made the girl who was head down to see his face. He agreed to teach the philosophy and secret of life for the sake of his daughter. but not for any presents made by him. The village which was donated by the King Janasruthi was named as Raikwarpanam which became a very famous place. Raikwar then taught his upadesha to the king that out of 5 elements, the air (vayu) only has the inherent and innate power to absorb in it. When fire is extinguished, it is absorbed in vayu. When the sun sets in, it is also absorbed in vayu. Whwn the moon sets in, likewise iis absorbed in vayu. when you start boiling water, the water in condensed form absorbs in vayu. Hence, Vayu is the cause for evrything. Now turning back to atma, the prana, breath is also absorbed in vayu. Whwn you sleep, your speech is absorbed in prana. The whole acts of seeing, hearing, speaking, manas, everything is absorbed iin vayu and merges with it, Of all the Devas, Vayu and Mukya Prana both have the capacity to absorb everything in it and become as one. S.Ganapathy
trafficking, slavery. physical and sensual exploitations. This abuse thrives in the absence of proper regulatory policy, accountable institutions and apathetic society. It is on the shoulders of the unseen, unpaid, under aged and exploited workforce that we hope to achieve real, sustainable and formidable economic growth. In the case of the most gruesome death of the child, the judicial orders
for the investigation of the missing children are disregarded. Goons and traffic offenders are fearlessly function in absence of rule of law empowered by corruption, malfeasance and political negligence. Some times, placement agencies operate as hubs for trfficking in the absence of a strong regulatory policy. We must stop using poverty as an excuse for
slavery and bondage of our children. If we do not educate and empower our children today, we are really perpetuating the cycle of poverty and pestilence for ever. When our 18.6 million adults remain unempoyed in our country today. what is the reason that India still employs over 10 million children? The urgent need is compassion for our children for protecton and not wait any longer. - S.Ganapathy
