Sample Itinerary Day 1 – Arrival & Athens City Tour with Acropolis Museum Arrival at Athens’s international airport. Meet & greet by our licensed tour guide and directly city tour. From the Acropolis to Omonia Square, with the half day sightseeing and New Acropolis museum you'll see all the famous sites of ancient and modern Athens on this comprehensive morning tour. Offering a perfect overview of the modern city, this guided tour will help you get your bearings if this is your first visit to Athens. The Athens tour departs for Panathinaikon Stadium, cradle of the first Olympic Games took place in 1896 (short stop). Proceed passing by the Temple of Olympian Zeus. Continue passing by National Garden, Hadrian’s Arc, St. Paul’s Church, modern Parliament, Tomb of the Unknown soldier, Schliemann’s House (Numismatic Museum), Academy, University, National Library, Old Parliament, Constitution Square, and finally Acropolis, (visit Propylae, Temple of Athena Nike, Parthenon, Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens). Continue the expert guided Athens sightseeing and museum tour with a pleasant short walk passing by Herodion and Dionysos Theater, in order to visit the New Acropolis Museum. Avoid and skip the lines of the new museum. Main attractions such as votives, artifacts of every day life, statues from archaic period, Caryatids, and of course the Parthenon hall with the metopes, the pediments and the frieze will impress you! Following the tour, transfer straight to your chosen hotel to check-in. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight.
Day 2 – Day at leisure or Optional tour Breakfast. Day at leisure to visit Athens at your own pace, see other museums or galleries, go shopping to the city’s open-air markets or fashionable boutiques. Alternatively, we can organize a private day tour to the famous sites of Delphi or Epidaurus. Overnight.
Day 3 – Day at leisure and departure Breakfast. Check out and transfer to the airport, depending on departure time.
