Sample Itinerary Day 1 – Arrival & Thessaloniki City Tour Arrival at Thessaloniki’s international airport. Meet & greet by our licensed tour guide and directly city tour. You will have the opportunity to see the White Tower, the main landmark of the city, the Helexpo fairgrounds, the university campus, the Galerius Arch, the Rotunda monument, the Citadel and the City Walls, from where you will have a marvelous view of Thessaloniki! During your tour, there will be a short stop at Aghios Demetrius Byzantine church and its crypt, and you will also have the opportunity to visit the Archaeological Museum. Lunch optional. Drop-off at your hotel for check-in. Rest of day free to enjoy a walk in Thessaloniki. Dinner at a local tavern. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 – Alexander the Great tour (Pella & Vergina) Breakfast. Day at leisure to visit Thessaloniki at your own pace, see other museums, go shopping to the city’s open-air markets or fashionable boutiques. Alternatively, we can organize a private day tour to Pella, Vergina, Dion or Kavala. Overnight.
