ew song-filtering restrictions have been put into effect on Napster as the company strug gles to find a way to appease the record compa nies (led by the "big five" — Universal, Sony, Warner, EMI and Bertelsmann) that appear dead-set on shut ting it down for copyright infringements. Both sides in the ongoing case will meet before a US district court judge later this month.
