The mission of the City of Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department is to enhance the interaction of people and the environment in a manner which is pleasing to all. To provide recreation opportunities to effectively meet and serve the needs of our constituents, the citizens of Douglasville, and those who interact with the Parks system.

The Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department operates five parks within the city limits; the city’s park system totals 150 acres, including many specialty facilities such as ball fields, a swimming pool, fishing pond, walking track, tennis courts, gymnasium, and recreation activity centers. Also included in the park system is West Pines Golf Club and Fowler Field Soccer Complex.

Dance 4 Flowers is a gender-neutral dance program for Girls and Boys. Sign & Play with the ASL Kid Connection is designed specifically for children using the award-winning Signing Time! Curriculum for children to learn sign language. ASL Kids Club is a club designed for children to learn and practice American Sign Language through play. At Engineering For Kids, our educators bring science, technology, engineering, and math to children ages 4-14 in a fun and challenging way. From designing and constructing rockets, hot air balloons, and roller coasters to learning about robotics, designing video games, and creating fun objects using LEGO® brand products, the variety of programming our kids’ classes offer is endless! HUNTERS FALL FeStivAL And ArtS & CrAFtS Show 12PM – 3PM

The annual Hunters Harvest Fall Festival at Hunter Memorial Park will be held on October 19, 2019 from 12pm-3pm. This event will feature vendors from all over West Georgia and Metro ATL with varying arts & crafts and food and beverage items. The festival will also include a children’s play zone featuring inflatables and other amenities for $5. Children 3 and under are free inside the play zone. All festival attendees are encouraged to wear costumes. This event is free and open to the public. Vendor fees are $30 per vendor. Vendors must have approval before paying.
