Zoning Ordinance Amendments 1. Variance authority re-established for Community Development Director. 2. SLUPS treated as quasi-judicial. 3. Rezonings and SLUPS conform to case law. 4. New Zoning Map to be adopted May 17. 5. Microbrewery ordinance referred to Planning Commission.
Looking Ahead: Over the course of the next year, we continue to strive to make the UDO more efficient and tailored to meet the needs of the citizens of Douglasville. 1. SLUP requirement for used tire shops, definition for used tire shops, and restrict new “used tire shops to LI and HI districts.” 2. Updated definition sections of the UDO by adding definition for an Office Distribution faculty, data center, showroom and update warehouse definition. 3. Remove a section from the sign ordinance which prohibit variances to the sign ordinance.
