May saw the return of many DPAC fan-favorites. We started the month with a great rock show from Get the Led Out , a Led Zepplin Tribute Band. Followed by two sold out performances of the kids’ adventure show, Wild Kratts.

Next, bestselling author and psychologist, Dr. Jordan Peterson, presented his scientifically grounded theory of religious and political belief during a sold-out show. R&B singer/songwriter, KEM , continued the month of performances with an incredible soulful show for everyone. The Decemberists showcased songs from their nine full-length albums on the DPAC stage to close out our incredible season of concerts.

We ended the month with a four-week engagement of the show of a lifetime, Disney’s The Lion King. With every show being a sold out performance, The Lion King is guaranteed to be the hit of the 2023 / 2024 season.

Thank you for your support throughout the 2023 / 2024 season.

We are so thankful to have dedicated sponsors like you and we truly value your partnership.

DPAC’s Broadway Connects

Broadway Connects links touring Broadway shows with area educational groups through post-show talk backs with cast and crew, workshops, and other hands-on learning opportunities. This month, DPAC facilitated an inspiring dance class for Homeschoolers of Color, led by two touring cast members of Disney’s The Lion King’s - Darian Sanders (Simba) and Sasha Caicedo (Ensemble). Everyone had a wonderful time dancing, singing, and connecting over their love of theater.

Special thanks to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina for their generous support of Broadway Connects.
