October was a great month full of exciting shows at DPAC. We began with a sold-out week of performances of Broadway’s biggest new hit, & Juliet . Then, we welcomed back-to-back Grammy ® Award-Winning bands, America and The Black Crowes, who each put on incredible rock shows. Next in our lineup was the debut of the up-and-coming comedian, Matteo Lane, who made the entire crowd laugh all evening and THE THE had their first show in the Triangle, with their loyal fans coming out to support this great band.
Mid-month, we had an incredible evening with Secretary Hillary Clinton and acclaimed author John Grisham in a sold-out show centered around Secretary Clinton’s new book. We then welcomed DPAC fan-favorite Charlie Wilson who performed all his hits. Author, podcaster, and comedian Iliza brought a bit of everything to her sold-out show and The Temptations and The Four Tops sang their top hits spanning multiple generations.
One of the greatest comedians of our generation, Dave Chappelle , gave an immediate surprise sell-out performance near the end of the month. We also welcomed the premiere of The Life and Music of George Michael, a show dedicated to celebrating the international rock star. For our youngest fans, Mickey Mouse and friends held an unforgettable playdate during Disney Jr. Live On Tour: Let’s Play.
To wrap up the month, we saw one of the last performances from comedian Lewis Black in his farewell tour. We also welcomed Brett Young for an evening of country hits and the greatest acapella group, Straight No Chaser, for a fun afternoon filled with great music.
As we enter November, we are truly grateful for each of our corporate partners. Thank you for all that you do to support DPAC and the community.

DPAC’s Broadway Connects
DPAC had the pleasure of introducing & Juliet swing and dance captain, Francisco Thurston, to dance students at Durham School of the Arts. The students spent the morning learning choreography from the show and hearing what life is like for a professional performer. It was a wonderful time for Francisco to spread joy and empowerment through movement to the Durham Public Schools students while & Juliet was in town.
Thank you to Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina for their generous support of this program at DPAC.
