Like so many Durham residents, I recognize the jewel that DPAC is to Durham and the Triangle region. Though we’ve endured a few changes for everyone’s safety as we’ve attended shows recently, attendees have supported the health-related actions and worn their masks cheerfully. That’s the true spirit

The awardHAMILTON is set to return for three dynamic weeks in May. If you have seen it before, now is your time to see it again. If you’ve never seen it, trust me and hundreds of thousands of others who have seen the show, you are in for a treat.
This season will feature some of the biggest Broadway, concerts, comedy shows and special events to ever take the DPAC stage. You won’t want to miss the premieres of Disney’s biggest new hit, FROZEN and the winner of ten Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, Moulin Rouge! The Musical.
There are other shows and artists I’m sure you won’t want to miss, including RENT, a perennial rock musical that premiered on Broadway in the 90s, Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, Hadestown, and Neil deGrasse Tyson, the renowned astrophysicist and author. Those are just a few of the superstar performances that are featured this season.
DPAC fan-favorites and first-time performers will also be taking the stage throughout the upcoming season, including Brandi Carlile, The Temptations and The Four Tops, Steve Martin and Martin Short, and the original Jersey Boy, Frankie Valli

Since opening in 2008, over five-million guests have heard that greeting as they walked through our doors to experience blockbuster Broadway shows, worldclass concerts, superstar comedians, and many special events including dance, speakers, holiday performances and family shows.
We celebrated our five-millionth guest milestone last February and it was a significant reminder of how important you are, our members and guests. We called this past season, our “Comeback Season” and more than you know we appreciated your words of support, your attendance, and even your patience as we did our best to reopen and juggle a sense of both safety and normalcy.
Big shows have graced our stage in the past and we have many more big events planned for this season and beyond. But even with the biggest show on our stage, DPAC would seem empty to us without having you in the audience, in the moment with family and friends, experiencing the magic and power of live entertainment.
As I write this welcome note, DPAC is ranked among the best theaters in America by three national publications (Venues Now - #1, Pollstar - #2, Billboard - #5). Back in the summer of 2021 as we worked toward reopening there were many unknowns, but each day we kept moving forward with the understanding that it was important that we come together again to share the performances, the songs, the stories, the smiles and laughs, and even sometimes the tears, that live events bring to us in a way that no other entertainment form can.
On behalf of my team at DPAC and our parent companies, Nederlander and Professional Facilities Management (PFM), we invite you to celebrate live with our 14th season and the incredible diversity and variety of the over 250 performances that will grace our stage.
“Welcome to DPAC, we’re glad you are here.”
Sincerely,
Bob Klaus, General ManagerWE ’ RE HERE FOR YOUR NEXT JOURNEY.

We believe in great entertainment experiences. We want to be our guests’ favorite place for live events.

Quality, safety, and service. We deliver these values with warmth, friendliness and an attention to detail that is the hallmark of the legendary DPAC experience.
DPAC welcomes all guests, performers and events in an open, friendly and respectful setting. We stand committed against all forms of discrimination.

Mary, born February 18, 1516 (later Queen Mary I). Catherine also had two other children who died as infants, three stillborn children, and several miscarriages.
Religion, sewing, dancing, a bit more religion.
Probably a type of cancer.
Her refusal to accept that her marriage was invalid; her faith; her dramatic speech to Henry when he had her brought to court to seek the annulment of their marriage.
While Henry fought in France in 1513, Catherine was regent during the Battle of Flodden; when James IV of Scotland was killed in the battle, Catherine wanted to send his body to Henry as a present.
Beyoncé and Shakira.
c. 1501 – May 19, 1536
January 25, 1533 (aged 31)
Elizabeth, born September 7, 1533 (later Queen Elizabeth I). Anne also had at least two miscarriages.
Fashion, dancing, flirtation, collecting evangelical works. Lady-in-waiting to Catherine of Aragon.
Executed on Tower Green, London.
Headlessness; bringing about England’s break with the Pope; having a sixth fingernail.
Because she was fluent in French, Anne would have acted as a translator during the visit of Emperor Charles V to court in 1522.

Being the “only one he truly loved”; having two troublesome brothers who fought over the regency of the young Prince Edward after King Henry’s death. While Anne Boleyn was still alive, Henry sent Jane a gift of money which she refused, apparently saying there “was no treasure in this world that she valued so much as her honor.”

When Henry first met Anna of Cleves, he disguised himself, possibly imagining some sort of a romantic reaction. According to a witness, when Henry kissed Anna, she turned away coldly from the hideous stranger molesting her. The witness, Lord Russell, observed that he “never saw His Highness so marvelously astonished.”

Religious faith, obedience. Lady-in-waiting to Anna of Cleves; cousin to Anne Boleyn. Executed on Tower Green, London.
Being completely used (and abused) by those with power over her. From her arrest on November 8, 1541 until her execution three months later, Katherine stayed under house arrest at Syon House; in late January of 1542, an act was passed in Parliament that rendered it treason for a woman to become the king’s wife without “plain declaration before of her unchaste life,” meaning Henry could have her killed.

Discover Broadway offers Truist Broadway members a way to donate tickets so their valuable seats do not go unused.
Thanks to the generosity of DPAC’s Truist Broadway members, hundreds of tickets have been donated to deserving students from high schools and universities located throughout Durham. For many, these seats provided opportunities for students to experience their first ever Broadway show.
For those that we serve through this program, these opportunities are more than just a ticket, they are a chance to experience something that could inspire goals and dreams for the future.
• If you know in advance that you cannot attend a show, or even if one member of your party will not be joining you, simply contact DPAC at DiscoverBroadway@dpacnc.com.
• You will receive an acknowledgment from DPAC that your unused tickets will be transferred to an area student.
• DPAC will handle all other details and provide instructions to the recipient on how to access their tickets.
Please note: Ticket donations must be made at least 72 hours prior to the performance date. Discover Broadway donations do not provide tax donation receipts.
At DPAC, we’re committed to Guest Courtesy. Please remember to be a good neighbor to those seated around you.
Yes, the lobby gets busy and the parking lots can be tricky, but please remain at your seats until the houselights come up.
As a courtesy to the performers and other audience members, DPAC asks that you do not rush for the exits prematurely at the end of the performance.
Please time your exits and re-entry to the seating area to occur only at intermission or breaks between songs. This is a courtesy to other guests around you who will appreciate you keeping these disruptions to a minimum.
Please note that all guests require a ticket, regardless of age. Children under the age of 6 are not allowed at most DPAC performances including Broadway, Concerts and Comedy shows.
For some shows, DPAC will make recommendations on the appropriate minimum age based on the content and the length of the event. Parental discretion is always advised and judgment of the appropriateness of the content for each show should be made on an individual basis prior to purchase.
Children must be able to sit quietly in their own seat without disturbing other guests. As a further courtesy to our guests, DPAC recommends one parent or chaperone for every one child in attendance.
Please save texting until AFTER the show. The light from phones is distracting to others throughout the theater. Please keep them turned off.
Small snacks and drinks are welcome in the seating area, but as a courtesy to those around you, eat and drink as quietly as possible. Please know that odors and noisy wrappers can disturb others. We also ask that you finish sandwiches or other large food items before entering the seating area.
At DPAC, each event that we host determines their own policy on photography and video recording using mobile phones.
Please note that GoPro’s, tablets, and cameras of any kind are prohibited at all DPAC events.
All Broadway shows prohibit photography and video recording.
Once the show starts, please let the stage be the center of attention. We ask that you turn off all cell phones and limit conversation. If children are attending this performance with you, please exit the theater immediately if they become restless or talkative.
