December was a month filled with holiday cheer at DPAC. The month began with two hilarious performances from the talented comedian Hasan Minhaj. DPAC fan favorite, The Hip Hop Nutcracker returned with the show’s unique mix of hip-hop dance to Tchaikovsky’s classic score, and The Jinkx & DeLa Holiday Show had the “Queens of Christmas” putting their own spin on the holidays.

A highlight of the month was Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas, locally sponsored by Duke Children’s Hospital. Guests of all ages felt their hearts growing two sizes after this family classic.

We were thrilled to welcome Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet for two performances featuring hand-crafted costumes and puppets in a celebration of dance.

Finally, we ended the month celebrating the 50th anniversary of the musical comedy adaptation of A Christmas Carol – Presented by Theatre in the Park.
