The Voice of Our Leader WELCOME TO THE 2022 TEXAS NORTHEAST FIRST HOLY CONVOCATION! It is with sincere joy and delight that I welcome each of you to our 2022 Texas Northeast First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction Holy Convocation! As we embark on four days of spiritual renewal and refreshing, we look with great anticipation for a supernatural move of the Holy Ghost! In addition, we anticipate a time of uplifting, encouragement, and strengthening for the constituents and visitors of our convocation. Our theme for the 2022 Holy Convocation is: “PERSEVERING IN OUR FAITH & EXPECTING A SUPERNATURAL MOVE OF GOD ” II Kings 4:8-37 Psalm 62:5 states “My soul waits thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” I challenge each of you to heighten your level of expectation. The saints have been in prayer, earnestly and fervently praying for a move of God. We believe that God has heard the prayers of the righteous and will manifest HIMSELF during this week. Beginning tonight, our convocation will feature the dynamic youth of Texas Northeast First! Our Youth President, Elder James Mark Harry as well as our Youth Chairlady, District Missionary Talitha Davis, have worked untiringly in preparing our youth to minister on this first night of the convention. So, we look forward to the PARACLETE touching and creating an appetite in them that will set the service on fire while giving them a life-changing encounter with God that will blessed and impact their lives forever. In addition, the sacred Word will be imparted to us through our friend & brother, Bishop Corby Bush, Sr., Prelate of the Ethiopia Jurisdiction and Pastor of Greater Harvest Church of God in Christ in Dallas, Texas. Bishop Bush is a dynamic speaker! More importantly, God has empowered him with a great ministry through the Holy Ghost and an end-time message for the saving of the soul. We are thoroughly excited to have him with us on tonight & we know you will be blessed as well. As I celebrate my 7th year as Prelate of the historic, Texas Northeast First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, let it be known that this is a year of “new beginnings.” I pray that tonight will be the beginning of both a historic and memorable week for you as well as we witness the SUPERNATURAL MOVE OF GOD! Your Servant in Christ,
Bishop James E. Hornsby Bishop James E. Hornsby, Prelate Texas Northeast First Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction

Bishop Corby Bush, Sr. PRELATE, ETHIOPIA JURISDICTION PASTOR, GREATER HARVEST CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST – DALLAS, TEXAS
Our Guest Speaker Bishop Corby Bush, Sr. is a native of Chicago, Illinois. He was reared by his loving mother, Missionary Delphine Richardson. In the late sixties, at an early age, he was led to the Lord during a District Meeting held by the Goodwill District, led by the then Supt. Shepherd Little of the King of Glory COGIC. The man who led him to the Lord was Pastor Charles Thomas of the Holy Reformed COGIC who saw him and asked him to come to the altar. After having received salvation, he was a member of the Amazing COGIC under the leadership of Elder Jefferson Campbell. He was very faithful to Sunday school, the children’s ministry, YPWW, and thoroughly committed to the Bible Band services. It was at this church that he was spiritually nurtured and brought his very first message. In 1975, He was licensed to preach under the leadership of Pastor Aaron Richardson. He was ordained in 1990 under the leadership of Bishop Bennie Earl Goodwin, 5th Illinois Jurisdiction. He was appointed Pastor of Good Hope COGIC in Dec. 1990 under Bishop Goodwin. In 1992, Pastor Bush founded the Light of Liberty COGIC, in Oak Park Il., of which he remains Senior Pastor. In Jan., 1999, he was elected Chairman of the Elders Council, First Jurisdiction of Illinois, Bishop Ocie Booker, Prelate. He has a plethora of mentors to whom he gives much credit, namely his Pastor, Elder Donald Coleman, Bishop Eleazer Lenox, Bishop Louis Henry Ford and Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson. After the demise of the late Bishop Frank Walter Smith in January 2001, Pastor Bush was installed as pastor of the Greater Harvest COGIC in Dallas, Texas, by the late Presiding Bishop Gilbert E. Patterson, May 2001. Both, the Greater Harvest Church and the Light of Liberty Church have a strong emphasis on supporting missions and evangelism. Additionally, he is the Administrative Assistant to Bishop Willie Chambliss of Illinois Midwest Jurisdiction. During the Holy Convocation, 2013, Pastor Bush was presented by Bishop John Sheard, Chairman of the Board of Bishops to the Presiding Bishop Charles Blake in the Service of Episcopal Consecration. Pastor Bush was installed as Prelate, Ethiopia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. He can be heard daily on radio stations in many cities. He can be seen each Sunday on the Word Network at 8:00 am (CST). Bishop Corby Bush, Sr. is a graduate of the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Illinois and the Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas. He is wholeheartedly supported in his ministry by his wife, Missionary Yvonne E. Bush and their family.
