This publication is a product of the SMILE-VET project which is sponsored by the Swedish International Programme Office through the Leonardo da Vinci fund. It gives a snapshot of the work the partner institutions do in this area today. It also highlights contemporary issues where many ALM institutions are moving towards a more socially orientated role and expanding their expertise in community involvement.
