Team Architecture: MO Zhoujin, QU Jie, WANG Yuping, SU Renyi, LU Zhaoyang, CHEN Liping Structure: JIN Zhenfen, WU Qiang, ZHANG Li, ZHANG Shenbin, RONG Zihan Landscape: SUN Dongming, LOU Xuantan Located in the center of Yiwu, the project has an urban road with a spacious street-facing display facade on the east end, existing architectures on the southwest end and Luo Binwang Park on the north. The sloping terrain of the site is an extension of the Park. The project enjoys a total land area of 6,980 m2 and a total construction area of 3,119 m2. With a height of 16.80 m and 3 floors above the ground, it’s an Urban Aesthetic Experience Hall in Yiwu. The building takes cues from the architectural form and structure of Yiwu Huangshan Bamian Hall, a traditional cultural heritage of China’s national treasure, and draws on its spatial processing methods of “borrowing” and “coupling”, showing the spatial transparency from the physical interface and the organizational relationship of the space respectively.

Team He Jian, Han Zhongqiang, Liang Guobin, Wang Yong, Yu Xiang, Wang Dongdong, Xu Haoxiang, Cai Lei Located in the downtown of Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, the Arts Center is currently used for the presentation and sales of the “Fengqi Yuming” project. Though a sales center, the Arts Center is artistic and pure in design.
The “Arts Center” is a carrier of Greentown’s grand vision of pursuing ideal life. “Yu” (jade) is the soul of the “Fengqi Yuming” project. The core of the scheme comes from a verse in The Book of Songs - “As knife and file make smooth the bone, so jade is wrought by chisel and stone”, regarding “fine jade is wrought after cut and polish” as the starting point of building image. “The mountain is glorious with jade”. The Arts Center is expected to become the uncut jade of the project and also a beautiful view at the corner, adding luster to the entire community and allowing passers-by to feel a poetic touch like uncut jade.

Team Yang Tao, Tang Jun, Han Yaozong, Li Shengxiang, Zhang Feng The project is located in the core area of Taihu New Town, and adjacent to Jiangnan University and the administrative center of the city. The exceptional geographical conditions endow the project with profound cultural context and characteristics. The overall planning of building in the demonstration area employs a matrix layout, which is complemented with sunken courtyard, pergola, and screen walls, to enrich the sense of layering of the space and create a tranquil internal atmosphere in spite of the chaos of the surroundings. The building utilizes neat lines, adopts minimalist design languages, and incorporates the charm of Chinese style.
With simplistic form and gentle illumination, the building shows an eye-catching floating image, making it a visual focus on the site. The design team created infinite imagery via simplistic approaches. The architecture and landscape are perfectly merged, and the interplay of varying light and shadows help produce a lightweight, transparent architectural appearance and a cozy spatial ambience.

DESIGN Sculpture design: †NTLS design / XSPACE The project is the demonstration area and sales center of the residential development China Overseas - Wulin Downtown located in Hangzhou, China. The residential development is 2 kilometers away from Wulin Plaza, and sits on the former site of Hangzhou Oxygen Plant Group, which has been one of the industrial pillars of the city for nearly 70 years. The development respects the site’s conditions and cultural context, carries the local people’s memories and will set an example for urban regeneration and inheriting industrial civilization. Its overall planning and design take cues from King’s Cross - a mixed-use, urban regeneration†project in central London, while also paying tribute to local industrial heritage. Both the living area and the demonstration area adopt industrial-style and minimalist design languages. The design emphasizes the contrast of black and white hues, highlights the primitive textures of materials, and creates dialogues in the space.

While the project is encompassed by the splendor Western Hills, the architecture and interior design put up an immersive show within the landscape. The distance landscape is introduced to the project in a dynamic rather than static way. A continuous path wrapped around from exterior to interior. The first nature of landscape and the second nature of the interior space join seamlessly through the path. The ambiance along the path is circumferential and religious to some extend, as a way to worship nature.
