Raw eggs also have an enzyme that causes skin and coat problems in cats. Thus, raw eggs should never be fed to a cat. Care should also be taken that the cat does not consume raw eggs accidentally. Raw Fish: Raw fish consumption is harmful for cats. This is because raw fish has a compound which breaks down Vitamin B1 which is also called Thiamine. Thiamine is an essential vitamin for a cat, the lack of which causes neurological diseases. Raw fish can also cause food poisoning in cats due to presence of pathogenic bacteria such as E.Coli.
