A STRATEGIC PLAN FOCUS: Our “Big Ideas” proposal encompasses four of the five strategic objectives outlined in DCI’s 2011-2015 corporate business plan, specifically: • Increasing participation in the corps comprising the collective and their various educational program offerings • Increasing attendance at Drum Corps International Events • Increasing year-round incremental revenue • Helping to raise the artistic standards of the drum corps activity The goal of winning this grant is to invest in initiatives and projects which will benefit the collective, serving as a catalyst for future explosive growth. Capitalizing upon this opportunity will define a turning point in the history and evolution of Drum Corps International as an activity, as a collective fraternity of its members and as a healthy, thriving, forward-focused corporation poised for growth and for engaging more young people in this outstanding and remarkable experience. Spotlighting the PRESENT

Through technology & live interaction, this grant will connect thousands of students & millions of their fans worldwide in exciting new ways.

Developing the FUTURE Expanding innovative extracurricular programming & developing experiential learning opportunities, we will better equip our corps to inspire & train new generations of educators & student leaders.

Preserving the PAST As specialized marching music groups, drum & bugle corps have evolved well beyond their military origins. This grant helps create physical & digital archives of historical photos, recordings & memorabilia enabling scholarly research & historical preservation.
