Meet your fellow art enthusiasts and head north to Asheville, NC with a packed lunch included to munch on during the journey. The new Amherst Building, located on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate, is the setting for the much anticipated “Grandes Experiences” Legends of Art & Innovation featuring a homage to the Genius of Leonardo da Vinci. This large-scale, multi-sensory event uses the very latest in immersive technology to illuminate the remarkable life of Da Vinci and his inventions and art masterpieces. Inventor, artist, scientist, engineer, sculptor, anatomist, musician, architect, and philosopher, Leonardo da Vinci was all of these things. His brilliance and many extraordinary achievements are brought to vivid life in Leonardo da Vinci – 500 Years of Genius, the world’s most comprehensive and thrilling Leonardo da Vinci experience. Each individual component of this must-see experience offers fascinating ties to George Vanderbilt’s collection of treasures on display in his magnificent family home, which we will visit tomorrow. After our Da Vinci immersion, enjoy a wine tasting at the Biltmore Winery before checking into our hotel followed by an included dinner.

TUESDAY, AUGUST 9TH

After breakfast, we return to the estate to explore the house itself, which features a huge art collection including works from the master himself. Explore the extensive grounds, which will be in full bloom before lunch on your own in Biltmore’s Antler Hill Village. We will then reboard our coach for the journey home.
