The beginning of our trip starts in none other than Las Vegas. While we’re in the area, we will visit the amazing Hoover Dam for a tour of this engineering marvel that uses the power generated by the Colorado River to produce electricity. The following day, we travel to the nostalgic Route 66 Highway in Kingman until we reach Seligman, where we are greeted by the Rusty Bolt, a fantastic junk shop and oddball emporium that’s impossible to miss along the north side of the old highway. From there, we continue to Phoenix for the night. Our trail takes us eastward across the Arizona desert with huge Saguaro Cactus that can grow up to 40 feet greeting us along the highway and continue to the old western town of Tombstone. Afterwards, we travel across the expanse of the Lone Star State of Texas until we reach San Antonio, where we will enjoy the scenery of River Walk. Afterwards, we travel back across Texas, through Houston, and into Louisiana. The colorful cajun country is our destination as we arrive in Lafayette to dine on cajun cuisine and dance to the energetic sounds of cajun music. Then, we head to Slidell, Lousiana where we will meet our tour guide for a swamp tour before continuing on to Biloxi for our last evening on the trip.
