We go any and everywhere during this exciting trip out west! Highlights of this trip include: Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse Memorial, Custer State Park, and much more!
After flying to Colorado, we drive to Wyoming where we will stay for our first night of the trip. We start the activities in the old western town of Deadwood in South Dakota. We will enjoy a narrated tour of this historic town, the cemetery, and have time to stroll down the main street. We will also enjoy another exciting tour of the Black Hills and the inspiring Mt. Rushmore. We’ll travel along the Needles Highway, turn round, and round over the Pig Tail Bridges, view wild burros and buffalo in Custer State Park, and visit the unfinished Crazy Horse Memorial. Afterwards, we board our motorcoach for a spectacular ride into Montana. We stop for a visit to the Little Big Horn Battlefield, site of Custer’s Last Stand. Then, we will travel the narrow winding highway that brings us to America’s first national park, Yellowstone. We’ll tour the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone and raging Yellowstone Falls, twice as tall as Niagara. We’ll continue through Grand Teton National Park before heading to Jackson, Wyoming. Here, we will enjoy the climate, the scenery, and the village of Jackson Hole. Our trail follows the course of the Snake River through serene valleys of farms, and we cross into Idaho before heading to Salt Lake City at the end of our trip for a farewell dinner.
