LDI provides cutting-edge training for top-level leaders of organizations and managers of institutions. This program is a dynamic, participant-based and innovative training that incorporates both theories, best practices deduced from various case studies and done within captivating and conducive environments by subject matter experts.
Our program challenges every person who is interested to sharpen their leadership skills and allows participants to impact their communities with lasting influence and significance. The program is divided in three categories namely; Theory, Practice and Research thus ensuring that participants receive an all-round and in-depth study of the subject of organizational leadership and management.

About Leadership Development Initiative (LDI)
Leadership Development Initiative (LDI) is a leadership training and Organization Board Development Consultancy. Currently, LDI consults for a number of organizations within and outside Africa. LDI has a track record of helping to transform organizations leadership and their effectiveness.
LDI has a network of facilitators in the region and internationally that provides high-level training, facilitation and mentoring at various organizational levels.
Since its founding, LDI has trained individuals and leaders of organizations to be more accountable, to incorporate management principles into their thinking, and to be capable agents of change. LDI have had a number of successful experiences in training leaders, establishing and training Boards of different organizations in a couple of countries in Africa. Our initiatives target audiences are level one leaders in an organization and as well as emerging leaders.

The need for leadership development for those in leadership positions cannot be over-emphasized. Current leadership situations in Malawi and beyond bear evidence of low results, unsure decision making and unsustainable initiatives..
In light of this, the goal of this program is to provide a sound transformational yet academically proven organizational leadership and management training that produces competent leaders for the private and public sectors for greater community results verifiable at community level in Malawi.

Diploma in Organization Leadership and Management
This program is tailored for top-level leaders and managers of institutions. It requires some degree of SelfStudy with Outcomes-Based Assessment. The one-year program demands that participants attend and write course assignments for the sessions done. Students will meet with their course facilitators for designated workshop presentations and interactions. They will then send the written assignments to the facilitator before attending the next session.

One Year Program
Participants meet in three sessions for the duration of the training (July 2019, November 2019 and March 2020).
18 courses to be amounting to 54 Credits.
First degree or equivalent is necessary for qualification but not for attendance and work and life experience may be considered as criteria also
Certification Recognition:
The program is a collaboration between LDI and MAGU and a certificate of recognition will jointly be issued by the two institutions to all participants who complete the course

Dr Julius Oladipo
Dr. Julius Oladipo has over 30 years experience in Strategic Consulting, working with civil society organizations and governmental agencies in 18 Sub-Saharan African countries.
His areas of expertise include Organizational Development/ Institutional Strengthening, Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Leadership Development, Peace Education, and Research. He earned his PhD (Statistics) from Bradford University, England.
Karl Teichert
Karl Teichert is an American and has been a Leadership Consultant with OC Africa in Johannesburg, South Africa since 1997. He serves as the OC Africa Area Director and has extensive experience in training and coaching Christian leaders.
He received a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado at Denver and Masters of Intercultural Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. He is an ordained Minister with the Missionary Church in the USA. He is also an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.
Gus Banda
Gus M Banda is the Managing Director of Multi-choice Malawi. Before assumed this position, Mr Gus has had the fortune of working in South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe in different positions and sectors. He returned home (Malawi) 12 years ago and has spent 9 years investing and contributed to both private and public sectors in Malawi. His work involved been the Foundation Manager of College of Medicine Sports Complex in Blantyre and established a business model that saw the business grow and became household name

Prof T. Debey Sayndee
Prof T. Debey Sayndee is a Professor / Director, Kofi Annan Institute for Conflict Transformation. Debey has worked for many years on complex nexuses of the conflicts in West Africa, particularly Liberia and Sierra Leone. He served as consultant for the UN, University of Wyoming, and Women's Campaign International, on peace, security and development issues.
He did his studies in University of Liberia, University of Wales, UK, Uppsala University, Sweden; in conflict research, development, and leadership at the respective Institutions. A visiting Scholar, University of Michigan African Presidential Scholars Program.

James Z Phiri
James Zinyama Phiri, through his years of working experiences with World Vision International, he has gained vast international work experience at the leadership level. He has worked in 16 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America. His long-term workstations were Brazil, Mozambique and Malawi.
He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Cyprus Institute of Marketing, Limassol, Cyprus. He holds an MBA degree in Organization Leadership from Eastern University School of Leadership, USA.
Steve Bezuidenhout
Steve Bezuidenhout is the Group Finance Director of Meridian Group of Companies, the organization he has been working for since 2003 till date and serves in a senior finance position. Before joining Meridian Group of Companies, he has held key leadership positions and worked with different organizations such as; MIS Barloworld Equipment, Isando, South Africa; De Beers Botswana, Division of De Beers Group, South Africa.
He is educated in finance from the University of South Africa.
Tembo
Elsie Matengambiri Tembo A Retired Civil Servant with over 40 years working experience within the government and public sector. Miss Tembo have served at numerous capacities and it is of no dough of been a great asset to Malawi civil society. Just to mention few, her previous positions include the followings; Executive Director for Malawi Tourism Council (MTC), Chief Director for Tourism – Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Chief Director for Tourism – Ministry of Information, Tourism and civic Education. Principal Secretary for various ministries such as Ministry of Information, Tourism and Culture; Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare; Ministry of lands, Housing and Urban Development; Ministry of Finance: Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Education. She serve on numerous organizations Board of Director. Such as, Board Director for Malawi Gaming and Lotteries Board; Board Director for Umodzi Holdings Limited. Board Director for Tourism and Hotels Board. Board Trustee for Malawi Institute of Tourism (MIT) and Board Director for Sunbird Tourism Malawi Plc.
She earned Post – Graduate Diploma in Public Administration and Civil Service Management – Galilee College, Israel and University of Malawi Master of Science in Strategic Management majoring in International Marketing – University of Derby, United Kingdom.

Dr Enson Lwesya
Dr. Enson Lwesya is the Senior Pastor of the International Christian Assembly in Malawi (2013—), where he once served as the Executive Minister from 1996 to 2013. He is the current Vice Chancellor of the Malawi Assemblies of God University whose ambition is to Develop Leaders that Change Nations. He instituted and leads CLEAN Consults International an organization specialized in leadership training and empowerment.
He earned doctorate from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri, USA.
Kamwana F. Muyaya
Kamwana Franco Muyaya is the Director of Programmes and Compliance Services of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) Board of Malawi. His responsibility includes maintaining excellence in the Board's technical capacity building activities in both local and international non-governmental organizations. He conducts participatory assessments, support NGOs in developing and implementing action plans for Organizational Development, as well as providing technical assistance and good corporate governance tips to the Civil Society Organizations in Malawi.
He is a teacher by profession and holds Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Management College of Southern Africa, Durban, Republic of South Africa and Bachelor's Degree in Education Science obtained from University of Malawi, Chancellor College in 1993.
Ronald Mtonga
Ronald Mtonga is the Chief Executive Officer Council for NGOs in Malawi (CONGOMA). A knowledgeable leader with 19 years experience in Management and Governance in both Public Enterprises and Civil Society through working with development policy Committees of Permanent Secretaries, working with NGOs and being Board member of various public/ state enterprises. His working experience includes as a Strategy development and Campaign management (Scotland) and Democracy and National/local Elections monitoring in Southern Africa.

Taiwo K Ilesanmi, The Executive Director and founding visionary of Leadership Development Initiative based in South Africa. With his over thirty (30) years experience in leadership development and training; this has helped him develop an understanding of both the culture and context of leadership issues in Africa. His working experience with organizations leaders across Africa and around the world has accorded him recognition far beyond his immediate circles.
T K Ilesanmi obtained his B.TH in Theology (1992) and MA in Leadership (2012). Also, he is a Licensed BoardSource Certified Governance Trainer (CGT) by BoardSource USA. He has facilitated and presented papers in many National and Regional Seminars and other International Leadership forums.
