Escape Rooms are a type of physical adventure game in which a group of people are locked in a room and have to solve a series of puzzles, find clues, and escape the room within a set time limit. Let’s try it at DSHA! We’ll devise a challenge that will get you to use your detective skills and work as a team to solve the mystery! July 12-16 | 2-4 p.m.and/or July 26-30 | 2-4 p.m. | $50 Each day we’ll read and discuss a new fairy tale. Then we’ll take on a series of activities including themed scavenger hunts and art projects that will create a magical week for you! Let’s think about how the damsels in distress could have solved their own problems and how others can help! Come learn something new about common fairy tales and really bring them to life! Games Galore

Have fun learning new games and playing some you may already know! The games we play will allow you to practice math facts, strengthen your critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and have fun at the same time. Fabric Fun

Tie dye, puffy paint, and fabric markers, oh my! Each day, you’ll design and decorate a piece of clothing including socks, hats, and more. Creativity and individualism are strongly encouraged, and you will be able to work together to perfect fabulous fashion pieces! A list of required clothing pieces will be provided before camp begins. Girl Power: Disney Heroines and More!

Girls rule! From Disney princesses to Wonder Woman, we can see how girls are portrayed in books and movies and how we can learn courage, leadership, compassion, strength, honesty, and humility from each of them! We’ll talk about how to look at fictional characters and pick out their best traits. Maybe we’ll even create a heroine of our own! July 26-30 | 9-11 a.m. | $50 Let’s have some summer fun with classic experiments—with a twist! SLIME!! EXPLODING VOLCANOES!! And MORE!! Come dressed for messy, messy fun! Greeting Cards and More

Everyone loves getting mail! Getting a homemade card is even more special! Let’s create cards for every occasion, including birthday greetings, Christmas cards, thank you notes, get well wishes, and more. We’ll take a “field trip” to the Art Gallery here at DSHA and talk to our artist in residence Sr. Karlyn Cauley, SDS, DS ’61, who makes beautiful greeting cards for a living! We’ll also learn how to address envelopes, write a letter, and mail our creations to someone we love! July 19-23 | 9-11 a.m. | $65

Manners Matter

Manners are important in everyday life to be successful socially and later, professionally. This fun, interactive camp will teach essential manners and social skills to help our campers become more confident in any situation. June 28-July 2 | 9-11 a.m. | $50

Money Smarts

When you get an allowance or cash for a present, what do you do with it? Let’s talk about how to count money, how it works, and the best uses for it when you have it. We’ll play games and do activites that are fun and build math skills as well. June 21-25 | 2-4 p.m. | $50

Origami

The ancient art of paper folding provides a wide range of personal development benefits. Campers will use hands-on geometry to problem-solve, develop math skills, strengthen concentration and listening skills, while practicing patience and exercising creativity to create beautiful art projects and have fun! June 14-18 | 2-4 p.m. | $65

Outdoor Fun!

Scavenger hunts, huge games of tag, kickball, mini Olympics, and more! Join us for some good ol’ outdoor fun while making new friends and soaking up some vitamin D. If the Wisconsin weather doesn’t want to be our friend, no worries, we’ll take the fun inside to our wonderful gym to play and explore. This camp is designed to strengthen the body while empowering the brain! July 12-16 | 2-4 p.m. | $50

Parts of a Whole

Get a jump start on fractions. Campers will begin each day with a story and then see how fractions are part of that story and are part of everyday life! We’ll work together on creative projects that help visualize fraction concepts with hands-on crafts and games! June 14-18 | 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. | $50

Pets and Their Care

We LOVE our pets! Here’s a camp where you can learn about furry and feathered friends. Whether you have a pet or wish you did, we can learn about the health benefits of having an animal in your home, why breeds look and behave so differently, and how to keep them happy and healthy! We can even design our own collars, leashes, and food bowls. June 21-25 | 2-4 p.m. | $50

Pinspiration

Do you love DIY projects? We’ll take a look at what’s trending on Pintrest and create projects using imagination and crafting techniques. Get ready to turn everyday household objects into art! July 19-23 | 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. | $75

Plays and Playwriting

Create and act out your very own play. We will learn the skills that go into developing and creating a play, practice acting skills, and teamwork. In groups, you will brainstorm, write, direct, and perform your very own show to be presented at the end of the week! July 19-23 | 9-11 a.m. | $50

Saints Alive!

Our Catholic faith is full of role models to help us live in God’s beautiful world—they’re called SAINTS. Let’s learn about some of them as we read stories of their lives, learn where and when they lived, and make some saint-related crafts, prayer cards, and rosaries. July 12-16 | 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. | $50

How do milk, sugar, and salt turn into ice cream? What does gluten do to bread? How does milkfat affect the taste of cheese? Explore the science behind these and other popular foods through hands-on experiments. After a week of measuring, cooking, and testing, you will leave with delicious recipes, mental math tricks, and plenty of fun food facts to impress your family and friends!
