N ew th is ye ar ! D A I LY H U D D L E S Camp isn’t camp without friendship and fun! Summer Cool now includes scheduled time for your daughter to meet girls from all over the Milwaukee area, beyond the girls in her specific camp. Our morning huddle, lunch, and afternoon huddle will bring campers together in community. Be sure to give your daughter time to meet and connect with other campers by dropping her off by 8:45 a.m. and picking her up at 3:15 p.m. (unless she chooses to come early or stay late for Dasher Downtime).
DASHER DOWNTIME* Dasher Downtime allows your daughter to engage in supervised activities, games, crafts and more when she is not in a scheduled camp session. See the Daily Schedule for the Dasher Downtime time slots – both before and after the daily huddles, as well as in between camps. This allows parents with busy schedules – or girls looking to meet new friends! – the opportunity to drop off and pick up at times that work for your family. Dasher Downtime costs $15 per day (provided your daughter attends at least one camp that day). Dasher Downtime activities will be supervised by Director of Summer Cool Tess Zukowski, DSHA ‘13, Teacher at St. Leonard. Learn more about Zukowski on page 31. *You must be registered for a camp on the day(s) you attend Dasher Downtime. For camps that run Monday-Thursday, Dasher Downtime can be purchased for the entire Friday of that week for $25. Dasher Downtime is available beginning June 17.

Tess Zukowski, DSHA ’13, graduated from St. Norbert College in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She currently teaches 1st grade at St. Leonard Catholic School in Muskego and worked as a camp counselor at the Brookfield Discovery Camp for several years, creating and implementing lessons based on nature, art, creative arts and games. Tess is excited for the opportunity to give back to the school that “has given me so much,” she says. “I am thrilled to show all who enter DSHA the amazing place it is, even during summer hours!”

HEY PARENTS !! While your daughter is living it up at DSHA Summer Cool, the DSHA Admissions Team has scheduled a number of casual events to give you more information about the DSHA High School experience. Join other parents on campus and see for yourself why DSHA is so much more than the typical high school experience – and why all girls makes all the difference!
33
Join us for coffee every Monday at 8:30 a.m. during Summer Cool. Drop your daughter off and stay awhile! Director of Admissions Adrienne Large, DSHA ’07; Admissions Assistant Allison Caswell, DSHA ’04; and Community Relations Officer Norma Herbers (mother of Sarah, DSHA ’17) will be available to give an overview of the DSHA experience, answer questions and lead a casual tour of the campus. No registration necessary. Schedule a tour at your convenience. The Admissions Team works all summer, and we’d love to show you around at a time that works for you. Give us a call at 414-466-3707 and set up a tour. Get your 8th grader a head-start on the admissions application! We have three sessions scheduled this summer to give application tips and assistance to incoming freshman. See page 11 for all the details. And here’s a bonus: if you take the DSHA Application Workshop, we’ll waive the application fee for 2019! For more information on the DSHA admissions process, visit dsha.info/admissions.
