Opening Hours
Most parts of the College are accessible to customers with mobility difficulties. There are designated parking spaces, automatic doors, ramps, lifts and accessible toilets.
Term Time
Other facilities include: a baby changing room, reception points with hearing loops, hot and cold drink and food vending machines together with water fountains in some buildings.

Pursglove Leisure operates from The Pursglove Centre which is located within the grounds of Prior Pursglove College. The Centre is a dual-use community leisure facility which opened in May 1995 and has been providing the local community with a comprehensive leisure programme ever since. Over the last ten years, Pursglove Leisure has developed its services and now offers a broad range of health and leisure activities for adults and children alike. The following information will guide you through the whole spectrum of our activities and we hope you find something here to suit your needs.

Adult Health & Fitness Feel better, look better and be better through regular exercise Sport England, sport’s governing body, has an initiative called ‘everyday sport’ which encourages adults to complete 30 minutes of sport everyday to become fitter, healthier and happier. Here at the Pursglove Centre, we have all the facilities you need to make that happen.
You could take advantage of our Health and Fitness programme or hire a court with friends and choose your sport. Courts are available on a casual or block booking basis.

Bikeabout is a new facility for cyclists situated in the grounds of the College. Bikeabout offers many facilities to help you enjoy your ride. Whether it’s a family ride along the fine roads of Guisborough Forest or a single track epic over the North York Moors, this is the place for you.

Shoutabout Playscheme If you hear your child saying “I’m bored!” during the school holidays, please give us a call – we may have the solution. Over the years, our popular Shoutabout Playscheme has gained a reputation for excellent programming and care. Our activity weeks have included art, outdoor pursuits, sports coaching and trips to some of the region’s best attractions giving youngsters an unrivalled variety. The Shoutabout schemes run every school holiday and are led by a team of experienced male and female play leaders (all CRB checked) who are there to ensure your child gets the most out of this excellent programme.

We offer a wide range of courses through Learndirect so whether you want to succeed in your current job, develop skills and confidence to get a new one, or simply learn something new, Learndirect can help.
We deliver NVQs and skills for life courses through Train to Gain which enables employers to improve the skills of their staff and volunteers.

ELITE project If you are aged between 16 and 19 and are not in education, training or employment, or you know someone in this situation, then our ‘Elite Project’, run in partnership with Connexions, could be of help. The project is designed to help young people to get back into education, training or employment.
