“ The state of Oaxaca (Hua-ha-ka) is known to be the most culturally diverse region/state in the republic of Mexico. It is rich in culture, languages and traditions. Conflict and unrest are a clear result of the separation between citizens and the governing establishment. This thesis explores the rapid urbanization of its state capital city, linkage between the ancient ancestry and its modern society, procession and promotion of Guelaguetza ”.
