Hawaii’s Architecture should be influenced by the regional landscape and culture, as opposed to appealing to Western tastes.

What if Hawaiian architecture was informed by the land and the people? This project will reduce friction in the Tourist-Local dynamic by providing an accurate expression of Modern Hawaiian culture.

Through this initiative, architecture will also reclaim a site for the progress of Hawaiian culture...

in a style that reflects the unique character of its people and landscape.

Final Presentation What a journey this year has been!? I’m so thankful for all the help and support from my professors over the years, Don, Matt & Ksenia, my suportive friends, my awesome family here and in Hawaii - None of this could have happened with out them. I’ve learned so much about design and persistence, as well as my own heritage and growing much closer to my family in the process. I plan to continue my interest in Hawaiian culture by following current events and keeping in touch with my ohana.
