DUF DUF

300-page DUF is a mook (= combination of book and magazine) for teenagers First page: serendipity: the occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. You are DUF (dull) if: you know how to record onto a cassette tape; your first music album was an LP; you remember NOT having a cell phone; you've never seen a playstation... then DUF isn't for you! DUF, the brainchild of Suzanne Hertogs (designer, art director), is an independently published mook created to entice Dutch teenagers to read more. DUF has a high 'ZAP-factor', with a wide variety of information presented in a playful and exciting manner for youngsters. DUF is an adventure; just like reading SHOULD be. Topics covered range from a 7-page article on a Jeroen Bosch painting to a 'fuck without worries' item. The various writing styles used include the short story, prose, poetry and reportages. DUF is fun! Even when you can remember not having a cell phone.
