Introduction
Dear Associates and Colleagues, I am pleased to introduce Accredo’s Brand Standards. Accredo’s name and logo are among our our most valuable assets. Establishing and maintaining logo standards will help ensure instant recognition of our name, products, and services. Every organization projects an image — a special visual identity shaped not only by the organization’s activities but also by its communications. Everything Accredo does as a company — including customer and patient communications, internal communications, direct marketing, advertising, collateral and web pages — contributes to our overall image and the impression that we make. Our new logo, as the central visual component of our brand, reflects Accredo’s personalized services in support of patients who need specialty medications and customized clinical services to treat their chronic and potentially life-threatening conditions. Accredo’s new brand standards are intended to reinforce recognition of our clinical expertise, personal attention, nationwide quality services, and the depth and breadth of those services across multiple therapies.
Accredo’s logo was especially designed to reinforce our leadership position and to differentiate us clearly from our competitors. The simplicity and clarity of the presentation of our logo is an indication of our confidence and ability to provide powerful, effective solutions for manufacturers, patients, physicians and payors. These logo standards have been developed so that we can, in today’s competitive environment, protect Accredo’s company identity and consistently reinforce the company’s image and brand. The materials in this manual represent a significant investment in how the Accredo logo should be used in various communications. These standards must be adhered to by everyone who develops communications for Accredo. Accordingly, these standards serve as the primary reference for all employees and suppliers responsible for any phase or aspect of company communications and promotions. I am very proud to present these standards and I hope that you will take equal pride in using them. Tim C. Wentworth President & CEO

About Our Logo The new Accredo logo was designed to reflect our core values and attributes. It is a unique visual expression of who we are and what we stand for. The logo is a symbol of trust and leadership — a company standard that we display with pride. Our logo design reflects the personalized support and clinical expertise evident in the high-quality services Accredo provides. The logo’s calming color and its softly curved, italic face convey Accredo’s softness of touch and the warmth of human interaction and personalized services. To balance these soft attributes, the forward-moving typeface suggests advancement in our practice of pharmacy and in the advanced technology that supports our operations.

Identifier “a medco company” PMS Cool Gray 8 (50% Black can be used depending upon the optimal number of PMS colors used for a specific job.)
Accredo’s logo is simple, clean, elegant, and light, with a significant amount of white space surrounding it. The use of a design that complements Medco’s logo, as well as the use of an identifier (“a medco company”) adds to our rich history of market leadership, strength, and stability. This is our main logo and should be used in most instances (see page 6 for exceptions). The Accredo logo always carries the SM (service mark) flush with the baseline of the Accredo name.
