Introduction

Dulwich College Shanghai has a rich history of excellence in music education. We are pleased to be able to offer high quality tuition on a range of instruments from Piano to Violin, Brass, Woodwind, Voice, Guitar and Percussion. The Instrumental Tuition Programme underpins the excellence in our choirs and ensembles and provides the opportunity to enrich students lives, both through their school career and beyond. Many students choose to take ABRSM examinations, and we have a enviable track record of success in this area, however, many of our students choose to follow a different path, often through contemporary music. This document aims to present the different routes students may take as they progress on their instrument, and how these different pathways and instruments align with each other and against expected curriculum attainment.
