The owners of a coffee shop in Dundalk have vowed to fight a compliance order issued by the HSE which if granted in court could potentially see them forced to close their business for seven days. Niall McGuinness and his partner Alicja Kolodziejczyk manage 3rd Place Coffee House in Dundalk at the Market Square and they were recently summonsed to attend Dundalk District Court for failing to comply with a compliance notice served last month. The duo are being prosecuted for failing to ask customers to show their COVID-19 vaccine certificate. Niall and Alicija have made it clear that they intend to fight the case in court and with that in mind they started a GoFundMe page to support initial costs of the case. At the time of going to print the GoFundMe account had raised almost €20,000. “Our customers health status is none of my business.
