She spoke of her delight after her magnificent Monday saying she was over the moon with her performance and especially proud of her horse Youri.
“I am absolutely delighted. To be fourth in the world is a magnificent feeling. I was a little nervous initially but once in the arena I didn’t really worry. I was happy and relaxed, lost rhythm a few times but nothing significant. I am not disappointed in any way to finish fourth and I couldn’t have asked for anything more from Youri” declared a delighted Eilish. “And then my day got even better when we were told on Monday evening that our team had finished third in the dressage team event. This was the first year that Ireland qualified for the Paralympics so we are delighted to be coming home with a bronze” said a delighted Eilish.
