STUDENT SUPPORT

D.E.N Duoc Exchange Network

Duoc UC offers a Support Program for International Students called Duoc Exchange Network led by Duoc students , with the purpose of providing guidance and help in the academic and the socio-cualtural environments. This Program includes: Tutors: Also known as guiding students or buddy partners. They are Chilean students from Duoc UC that guide international students through their academic semester or year in Chile, helping them to be able to adapt to Chilean culture. Some of them have already experienced an academic exchange or are about to do it. Trips and Activities: Duoc UC’s Coordinators of International Affairs are constantly organizing tours and activities for 24

international students, like Chilean cuisine workshops, cueca workshops (national dance), tours around the city, trips to the snow, to the beach, and many activities more. Support from the office of International Affairs: The Coordinators advise international students on matters like: obtaining the Chilean ID card, health insurance, lodging, VISAS, among others. It is important that you take into account that a Students VISA does not allow you to work in Chile. Duoc UC has a department named “Student Affairs”, from where Chilean and international students can choose different recreational activities like the Pastoral, sports, extra workshops, etc.

STUDENT AFFAIRS Students Office All Duoc UC headquarters have a Students Affairs office. Here, you will have access to the following benefits: - Discount card for public transportation (TNE) - Duoc UC student identity card, with which you will be able to enjoy different discounts along the country. - Enrollment to sports activities and extra workshops. We have gathered the best work team to guide you through your stay in our institution, transforming it all in an experience that will make you never forget your years of study in Duoc UC.

University Pastoral Department For those students who may be interested, there is the chance of participating in the program of Volunteering in Charity Missions, where students can participate together with thousands of Duoc UC missionaries in charity projects that seek to benefit underprivileged communities. In all our headquarters there is a Pastoral team waiting for you. www.duoc.cl/pastoral
