HOMESCHOOL LEARNING LAB FOR TEENS Thursdays (No lab on Dec. 25) 10:30 a.m. - 12 noon The Homeschool Learning Lab for Teens provides homeschoolers with enriching and unique educational programming in a library setting with an emphasis on teen interest. We have fun learning, building relationships and becoming familiar with library resources. Parents are invited to facilitate sessions.

CHAPTER CHAT TEEN BOOK CLUB Saturdays, Dec. 6; Jan. 17; Feb. 14 1 - 2 p.m. Come join our monthly teen-led book club! Come by the Information Desk to pick up a copy of this month’s selection. Dec. 13: End of the Year Edition We’ll be talking about our favorite books of the year and the ones we’re looking forward to the most in 2015. There is no assigned title. Every week we will have a different activity (and a snack!).

Join us for fun duct tape crafts. Make duct tape bracelets and key chains! These make great gifts for the holidays. All supplies will be provided. For teens and tweens, ages 9 and up!

Come and create a masterpiece in the third annual Gingerbread House Showdown! And yes, of course you get to take your candy creation home!

ANIME CLUB Wednesdays (No club Dec. 24, 31) 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Do you like Anime or manga? Join us every Wednesday to watch some shows, practice drawing and talk about favorite manga series. Popcorn will be provided. SNACKS + STORIES: TEEN BOOK CLUB Tuesdays, Jan. 27; Feb. 24 6 - 7 p.m. Join us for the monthly teen book club meeting. We will discuss different genres, favorite authors and fandoms. Tasty treats will be provided.

TEEN LGBT BOOK CLUB Mondays, Dec. 15; Feb. 16 6 - 8 p.m. This book club is a safe place where LGBT teens and their supporters can read novels that feature LGBT characters and meet other teens with the same interests. Snacks will be provided.

In honor of J.R.R. Tolkien, we will have a birthday toast for “The Professor” by watching two movies adapted from his classic children’s novel. The first movie begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the second. Don’t forget to pick up your raffle ticket for a free Tolkien inspired giveaway!

*NATIONAL APPRECIATE A DRAGON DAY! Friday, Jan. 16 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. The dragon is a powerful symbol all over the world. Come by the library to talk everything dragon.

*COOKING WORKSHOP SERIES Tuesdays, Jan. 27; Feb. 24 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. A pinch of this and a sprinkle of that…Learn about nutrition and healthy eating, practice planning and making choices, experience an environment to be creative, and of course, eat what you make!

*DOUGHNUTS FOR DATABASES Mondays, Dec. 15; Feb. 16 4 - 5 p.m. Come for the doughnuts; stay for the knowledge. Learn about the many databases the library has to offer and how finding the right information can make homework easier!
