Local author, Stuart Albright, will offer sessions to help teens prepare for NaNoWriMo in October. BACK TO BOOKS: LIBRARY OPEN HOUSE (Children, Tweens, Teens) Thursday, Sep. 1 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Children, tweens, teens and families are invited to the Main Library’s first floor auditorium to find out what Durham County Library offers to support school, college and lifelong learning. There will be NCLive database demonstrations, an online homework help demo featuring Brainfuse and a special Makerspace program for teens. Also, check out a special performance by the Elite All-Starz dance team. Performing with them will be teen recording artist, Alexis Stay Poppin. Library tours will be available along with refreshments. Join us to find out why your library is the very best place to be.

TEEN MAKER DAYS @ MAIN Wednesdays, Sep. 7; Oct. 5, 12; Nov. 2, 16, 30 4 - 5 p.m. Explore your inner super maker with Teen Maker Days! Maker Days feature a variety of programs. Experiment with Virtual Reality, Ozobots, Watercolor Bots and more! There will also be opportunities to paint, craft and make buttons! SPLIT FOCUS: PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB FOR TEENS (14-19 Year Olds) Thursdays (except Nov. 24) 5 - 6 p.m. Explore the world around us through photography. Each month, this primarily student-led program will focus on different topics and how each one can be represented and expressed through film. Students’ work will be printed and displayed in the library.
