dear reader, The past three days have been exciting at ZF RaceCamp, the first event of the DUT14 team! In a quick pace, we went through all of the static and dynamic events a normal Formula Student would consist of, and got extensive feedback of the ZF judges on how we are doing. Day I: Arrival and E-Scrutineering On Monday evening, the team arrived at the ZF RaceCamp grounds in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The first thing to do was to bring the car to the pits to subject it to e-scrutineering, while the rest of the team set up camp. After some issues with setting up the tents (gravel turns out to be really nasty if you are trying to insert non-suitable pins into it), the DUT14 passed electrical scrutineering and the team settled down for the night.

E-Scrutineering: Though it was late, we still lined up for electrical scrutineering. The more that could be passed today, the less we would have to do tomorrow, so we could get some laps going!

Day II: Cost, Business and mechanical scrutineering On day two, the team would face three new challenges: mechanical scrutineering, cost judging and the business presentation. Mechanical scrutineering took nearly all day: many teams were in line for scrutineering, and we had to make some last adjustments to be fully compliant to the ZF rules. Cost-judging took place in the afternoon and went well: Tech and Finance manager Olaf and his costexpert Damian made it through without any significant issues. Our business plan responsible, Laurent, got some important feedback too to take back home to Delft!

Day III: Design Judging, autocross and Skidpad Day three was the big day. The car was released from scrutineering and soon enough, the first meters of the DUT14 at ZF RaceCamp were a fact! Around 1 p.m., it was time for Design Judging, and it was busy in the Delft pit! Over 10 officials were present to hear all about the DUT14 design and its intricacies. After the Design Judging session was over, it was time again to get the car driving as much as possible and keep adjusting the car. The car is doing fairly well at this point, and we already managed to set competitive times for skidpad! A BBQ that night concluded the event. Many thanks to our fans at home for all the support!
