SINGAPORE SUMMER - THE CONCEPT It is said that one’s mood and choices can be affected by the weather of the day. In the glory of Singapore’s eternal summer, it has managed to highlight some of our Uniquely Singaporean flavours mainly in our clothings and our food. Our choice of clothes are quite an extreme range. It goes from casual to close to winter clothing. This is because of the constant change in temperature that one might experience if they move through buildings and out in the open. It’s too cold in air con buildings and too hot in the open. There is a wide range of food for you to chose from depending on the weather. Some might prefer warm comforting food on colder days and some would go for ice cooling food on hotter days.

Dripping of arylic paint onto the paper as if pouring syrup on the icekacang itself
The overlaying images of the ice kacang creates an flow of movement and feels raw and textured. This gives the impression that you can touch and feel and taste the ice kacang in your mind.
SHOES & SLIPPERS This series was created with intention to allow the viewer to feel the material, form and texture of the shoes & slippers and pick something as if it is their shoerack.
The WALLPAPER - THE MAKINGS The Ice Kacang Wallpaper was made from the ice kacang paintings as well as scans and images of ice and dripping dye. Together they were digitally manipulated to stimulate the drippings of the ice kacang syrup over the ice with a burst of colours with is similar to Singapore with its wide variety of flavours.
