Dwight students attend Climate Strike march

Dwight Students Take Part In Climate Change Strikes

The UN Climate Summit was held in New York City on September 23rd,

2019. In advance of this important event, there was a Climate Strike,

including a march and a rally, on September 20th in London. A few of our

students have been directly involved in the UK Student Climate Network.

In the Upper School we made the decision to authorise absences for

students who wanted to use their voice and take a stand to bring to

light the significance of this issue. It has been wonderful to see Dwight

students taking the lead on this important conversation, and it is one that

further unites us with our other Global Campuses.

There were lots of school visits around London in the first term including the Houses of Parliament, London Transport Museum and the Unicorn Theatre.

M5 House of Dreams trip

M5 students visited The House of Dreams Museum. The English Language and Literature unit is focused on marginalisation and social conventions, and so the purpose of the trip was to provide the opportunity for students to view unconventional art and speak to an artist about his perspective on how art brings beauty to this world.
