Sports at Dwight

During the last term, our students have been reflecting on their sports skills as part of the physical and health education programme. Sport plays a major role at Dwight as it is a great way for our students to demonstrate elements of the IB Learner Profile. It was another exciting term at Dwight with a range of successes from tournament wins through to our participation in a schools gala with 23 other schools at Barnet Copthall Leisure Centre.

Young Designers

Alma and Drake in M5 entered a competition to 'Design a Building of the Future' and they ended up as the National Design Winners! One of their prizes was to visit the BRE Innovation Park in Watford, Hertfordshire. During the visit they had the chance to experience how we will be living in 10-20 years from now. There was a focus on homes with sustainability in mind and this included: collecting rain and air-conditioning water waste to flush our toilets; innovative brick designs and material choices to insulate and re-heat our homes. It was a great insight into future living, not just in the UK but around the world.
