The real story is that CADET makes everything themselves. machine. It is their store. It is their brand.

It is their sewing

They hope to support the ‘made local’ movement by opening up our factory to produce garments for other designers. They currently work with designers big and small in product development across all categories in their Bushwick, Brooklyn factory. CADET designs and produces clothing, accessories and related products for young-minded people and develops its brand to represent a casual lifestyle driven from a military heritage. The inspiration for CADET comes from post-war military academies where there was a focus on precision, clean lines and a crisp aesthetic. . About CADET CADET was started by Raul Arevalo and Brad Schmidt in December 2011. Raul graduated from FIT with a degree in men’s tailoring and won the Chairman’s Award for best men’s collection in 1995. He went on to head Technical Design departments for several large retailers in the US, perfecting the fit of those brands. Brad is a Project Manager by training and has successfully run an online retail business for 6 years. They live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
