1 | Schooley Cattle Co.
Welcome to our First Annual Production sale!! Seems like yesterday when my good friend Scott Sandeen came down and helped me sort out our first set of bred heifers 15 years ago. The Sandeen’s have been great family friends for many years and I couldn’t thank them enough for the opportunity they have given me to sell along side them the last several years, but now our family has decided to bring our genetics to town for your appraisal. I have learned a lot growing up along side my father Ron who has ran our family cattle auction business for the last 45 years. Traveling the hills of southern Iowa and northern Missouri has given me the opportunity to learn from some great cattlemen. There is a lot to be learned by observing guys who make their living breeding and selling cattle. Being involved in the commercial cattle industry has helped us shape our own breeding philosophy. We believe in breeding cattle that are structurally correct, easy fleshing, and good uddered. I hope in this offering you will find the cattle to be uniformed in their kind with that 3 dimensional appearance. We certainly know the value of consistent, predictable, uniformed, and easy going cattle because I believe our future in the cattle business will continue to be driven by those standards. We feel the Simmental/Angus cross cattle have and will continue to meet the needs of the most demanding cattlemen, whether they are feeding or breeding them. I have always had the dream and passion to be around cattle since I was a little boy and I owe it to my parents for helping me and supporting me in the choice to make it my lifestyle. Having our own production sale was a goal I set several years ago and it took my parents, the lord, family, and many of you in my community to help achieve that goal. We just passed the year mark of losing my mother to cancer, I sure wish she was here to be apart of it I know she would be proud. I know she would enjoy seeing my brother and I continuing to work side by side. With out my brother, Tyler and my herdsmen, Andrew Lautt none of this would be possible. There responsibilities are great with daily care and feeding of the cattle and maintenance of all our facilities. There hard work and dedication are a resemblance of that which we want to extend to you. Building a relationship with you and standing behind our cattle is our top priority. Commitment is a character trait that god has taught us and we greatly value it. We will be committed to you our customers and to the cattle industry. We also greatly value the commitment of our past and current customers and look forward to building relationships with new ones. If you are ever in the Bloomfield area prior to sale week feel free to stop by the farm to view the cattle, just contact me at 515-450-3685 or Andrew at 620-767-2156. If you have any questions about the offering and would like a third parties opinion feel free to contact any member of the sale staff.

Only being shown twice and named champion purebred bull calf at Iowa State Fair and The American Royal. He will be the lead bull in our NWSS purebred pen bulls and on display in the yards. Not to mention he is a high performing, easy fleshing bull who boasts a above breed average API of 121 and a 205 day weight of 850#’s. Real World Performance and Real World Style!

Now combine two great powerful cow families and you have 266. Fertility, eye appealing, powerfully constructed bull, with loads of growth. 266D is a sire that any program could build an entire herd around.
