Welcome
Welcome to our 6th Annual Fall Production Sale. This sale will be our largest to date with unbelievable quality throughout the sale. Walking or riding through the cattle Lindsey and I are beaming with your anticipated evaluation of our offering. Our opens are sired by the most relevant sires and are quite amazing this year with a large group that will compete at a national level and a group that will compete at a local level and then turn into donors and front pasture genetics.
Gemstone, Sweet Emotion, 990G, 6026D, Neon Rey and Ericas Lutton donors have stood the test of time and continue to raise the bar while adding daughters of their own to step up to the plate. Make no mistake these breds are not left over opens. They were bred to be maternal cattle that can make progeny that will perform in whatever avenue you choose. Within the group of cattle I think you will find genetics for all operations. We love to hear from our customers and their successes. The use of Epic, Double Up, Hitman and Lover Boy were a huge hit last year.
Recently the donation heifer sold at the Ohio Beef Expo to Missing Rail Simmentals, a daughter by Sweet Emotion x 20-20. She went on to be Grand Champion of the Ohio Junior Simmental Memorial Day Classic. She was 3rd in Division at the American Junior Simmental Association Eastern Regional and Reserve Champion Simmental Female at The Ohio State Fair. A thank you to Missing Rail for believing in our program.
Our bulls this year are a smart group being very diverse in their type and kind. A very special herd bull prospect FSCI Right Time J189 with crazy numbers has a huge spread from birth to yearling weight, and to top it off his docility score is true to form. Sell semen or use him to sell on the grid!
On the family front, Hudson Clyde, who was born just weeks before last year’s sale, has overcome some adversity. I believe he will be trying out for middle linebacker sooner than later. Ryan and Lindsey are unbelievable parents that work hard every day. John and Holly are expecting my 3rd grandchild, a baby girl going by “Poppi.” We are thinking she will be born shortly before the sale. John's business is as successful as ever. Holly, I think you should get hazard pay. I don't think pencil stab wounds were part of the program. Miss Noli is the cover girl and the princess of our troop!
I am sure you have noticed the amount of online sales. Seems like every hour in Vogue. There is a reason for that; it sure is easier. With that I offer up my great appreciation to everyone who is involved to showcase our elite genetics on a live platform. I revel in Lindsey’s enthusiasm to produce a better product and organizing the team to meet dates and times. Scott Lehman did another fantastic job managing cattle and breeding all the cattle. All while making time for his wife Sara and his two boys Griffin and Gabe. Pat Campbell was our pit crew keeping the mechanical things running and managing hay fields. The show barn and rodeo crew consisting of Garrett Bosse, Andrew Lyle and Gina Sheets kept it real all summer. A huge thanks to Eric Montgomery for helping in the winter months when things get ranchy. A special thanks to Lindsey’s husband Ryan who helps out immensely on our labor of love vocation.
I want to truly thank all of our past, present and future customers for embarking on the same journey we love. We are always available for help and to answer any questions. We thank you for taking the time and consideration to evaluate our genetics!
God Bless America, John

Lot
A moderate belly draggin beast, X11 was a model cow. As a cow/calf pair she was 4th overall at the Jr Nationals. That calf then sold for $7,500 in Louisville. Her progeny have sold consistently from $5,000-$14,000. X11’s udder was unbelievable and her progeny all followed. You can’t put much more middle in a cow. Looks like an Angus but her papers say otherwise.
Powerful Bred Heifers
Lots 25: The year before last we sold a group of Mr Anchor D677 breds and they were a hit. We sold the bull based on that group of females. This is your chance to get one by the very consistent Sweet Pea. Bred up early to Bet on Red and that bull works on our cattle. No brainer on Sweet Pea.
Lot 25
Lots 26: Outcross genetics. Pulling some older, good stuff out of the tank making this lady. Coleman cows work on anything you throw at them. Sleek and feminine she will have a great udder.

Lots 27: We were the backup bidder for HPF Orange Crush at Hudson Pines sale. We always admired her bone and mass while still being feminine. Her Bankroll daughter will certainly follow in her footsteps. Bred up early for a Loverboy calf.
Lots 28: Burn Baby Burn’s are good property. J129 has that long big powerful hip they’re known for and four big feet that all point north. Built for longevity.

Lots 28: IN 2021, Lindsey and I traveled to South Dakota to Werning’s. We fell in love with 85F. She is just massive in her makeup. Even when I’m out working in the pastures I will stop and run over and check her tag. The only difference between 85F and Joy is that Joy isn’t a baldy. Quiet disposition and a JOY to be around.
Projected mating for calf EPD’s…5 in top 15%, 7 in top 20%, 12 in top 30%.

Right Time
With great reluctance we offer this bull for sale at public auction, breeders have had serious inquiries on his future. As you can see we used him to run behind these heifers. WS Miss Sugar C4 commanded $210,000 as a 7 year old. An elite female, among the many AI sires she has produced are WS Proclamation KBHR High Road, LCDR Favor, KBHR Honor and LCDR Impact to name a few. Miss Sugars EPD profile is Elite. FSCI Right Time J189 is in The Top 4% on API and TI. Bulls don't look this good and have numbers through the roof. A big plus is he lives up to his docility number.

Propelling Programs Forward
We welcome you to the 6th Annual Rare Vintage Production Sale at Ferguson Cattle! Each and every breeding season the Ferguson crew strives to produce a set of cattle for this sale that are deeper, and even more elite than the season before. As you look through this offering I’m sure you’ll agree that John, Lindsey, and their support staff have hit that target. Ferguson Cattle has spent the better part of two decades concentrating on building a cow herd with a focus on quality and maternal functionality. The look, power, structural correctness, and potent production record behind this herd is second to none!
Within this sale offering you will find a tremendous set of cattle in each category who come backed by some of the most forward reaching sires and dams in the Simmental & Angus herd books today. The Ferguson donor pen has helped propel programs across the nation to the next level over the course of the last two decades with progeny earning Champion honors at Majors, and sons and daughters who have topped sales all across the country. As you look through this book be sure to note the influential cow families backing this group.
If you have never made the trip to Ferguson Cattle I can assure you that this set of cattle being offered, and the herd representing this offering are well worth the trip to Northeast Ohio. You’ll find the hospitality offered by the Ferguson family is second to none, and if time permits I highly suggest coming to the sale site early to allow time to view the donor battery as well as the herd that produced this offering. This year’s offering is extremely deep in quality in each and every category and I truly feel there is a long list of must have females and sires within this offering.
One of the most important aspects of this program is not just the high level of attention given to producing cutting edge livestock, but the attention to customer service after the purchase is unmatched at Ferguson Cattle. John, Lindsey, and the crew at Ferguson Cattle stand behind their products being offered, and are very proactive in assisting their customers every step of the way.
With that we look forward to welcoming each of you to Jefferson, Ohio to take part in a fun weekend and to view a tremendous offering. If you have any questions along the way feel free to reach out and we will be more than happy to steer you towards the lots that will best serve your goals.
