BMS106 grasping the sparrows tail Steve Barowsky Grasping The Sparrows Tail, a Taoist moving meditation sequence for seniors is a beautiful sequence of four movements. These movements are a meditation on the flow of internal energy in the body which is the core from which all Tai Chi movements are developed. In the practice the four movements are done smoothly and slowly, continuously alternating from the right to the left side. The exercise is great for stress reduction, improved balance, leg strength and protecting against cognitive decline. In these six lessons you will be able to learn a complete repeating sequence to be able to practice at home or wherever you may be. June 12 / 6 Sessions / 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. / UTEP Raquetball Ct.
For those who both have taken this class before and those who have not, all are welcome to join our circle of chairs. This class is an adventure in writing life stories that recall and reveal our challenges and triumphs, joy and pain--the people and times that have marked and mentoied us. Bring paper and pen, an open mind and a compassionate ear. You don’t have to be a “writer.” All you need is a willingness to join in the laughter that explodes as we read aloud the unlikely and delightful experiences we’ve undergone from cradle to the present. June 13 / 6 Sessions / 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. / Miners Hall 200
