Bamboo is one of the most popular and cheap materials in Vietnam. It grows very quickly in many areas in the North of Vietnam.
Spun Bamboo
Bamboo is submerged in water for at least three months to avoid mold or insect infestation before moving forward with production. The spun bamboo pots are solid due to the production technique. The weaved bamboo made during the rain season will have a paler look. than products made outside the rain season. It is very strong and not easy to be broken so can replace for ceramic pots.
Weaved Bamboo
The bamboo for the woven baskets is not soaked in the river like the bamboo for spun bamboo.
P roduction Leadtime
The production lead time for spun bamboo products is 40 to 60 days for a 40 HC container. For weaved bamboo products, the production lead time is 30 - 50 days for a 40 HC container.

Spun bamboo can have five different finishes, going from a rough to a smooth surface. The finish affects the pricing, whereas the lowest price is for the roughest finish and the smoother finish for a higher price due to the increased working hours there are.

Bamboo Baskets And Pots
Replacing the standard liner with a biodegradable material can make the ecofriendly bamboo pot even more sustainable. The biodegradable plastic liner is made from 40% starch and 60% PP/PE. Bioplastic products have a decomposition time of 6 months to 5 years, depending on thickness, when buried in the soil.
Price level - liner:
For soft liners, the price will be about two times higher compared with regular soft liners and 2-3 times higher between the biodegradable hard liner and standard hard liner.
