GLITZ & GLAMOUR The only night in a high school student’s life that he/she feels like a king or queen, well this was the case for pupil’s who attend Kriel High. Tailored suits, expensive shoes, waist fitted dresses, shiny make up and an amazing setting was the order of the evening. On the 16th of October 2015 Kriel High hosted their annual Matric Farewell and The Dynasty Magazine was there to capture the pupil’s fairytale. It was lovely weather throughout the day until the event had to begin, a shower of thunder and hail shadowed the small town of Kriel just a few hours ahead of Kriel High’s Farewell. We were beginning to doubt if the event would even go ahead as rain tried its best to stop the festivities that had been planned But then again as always the show must go on, with a lovely Cinderella setting in the school hall, there was no doubt that the coordinators had pulled out all the stops to make this event a success. With teachers and parents anxious for the students to arrive beverages and some finger snacks were served to the guest inside the hall, fashionably late was the motto for the day as the 1st couple arrived with the lady dressed in a ruby red and black lace dress. It wasn’t long before more of the pupils graced the red carpet with their designer made outfits and fancy accessories. The rain took aim again shortly after the event started but that didn’t deter the pupils at all, the gentlemen of the evening looked like business men from Wall Street and not to mention the ladies. They went for style, elegance and shear class.

HOTTIE OF THE MONTH And what would The Dynasty Magazine be without the usual Hottie of the month? Slindile is the our centerfold for this month we will share a few things about this Slindile is 20 years old and she is all the way from Kwa-Zulu Natal but she currently resides in Kriel a small but busy town in Mpumalanga. She is currently working with SAWIT (South African Women in Transport) & SAWIC (South African Women in Construction), and also in the Karighude program. She enjoys listening to hip hop music, and just as we thought her favorite rapper at the moment is none other than “Drizzy” Drake, she also listens to The Weekend and Chance The Rapper. She enjoys writing poetry as her hobby, her favorite color is Black, and she loves stuffing her face with cake and pizza so we suggest you lock your fridge. She told us exclusively that “I do not look like the food that I eat but I live of it” Well now that you know all that you need to know about our hottie of the month, all that is left is for you to stare at this natural beauty through the Photo-shoot we had with her if you would like to be featured as the hottie of the month all you have to do is inbox us on The Dynasty magazine page. lapeng lifestyle If you are a Kriel resident and haven’t been to the most hip and happening lounge in the area, then you are missing out. Lapeng Lifestyle Lounge is the best place to relax and enjoy a good time with your friends, with some well-known South African musicians and artists who come to perform there. On the 7th of November Lapeng hosted Glen Lewis Tbo Touch & Dj Whiskey alongside Lapeng’s resident djs it was a Castle Lite Republic of Extra Cold event. It was a packed house on the evening with the resident djs as the opening acts for the headliners of the evening. Castle lite was there to promote their new and refreshing Castle Lite Lime, with some promotional goodies and some prizes to be won whenever purchasing this refreshing drink. A lot of participants took part in these mini games and won themselves some awesome Castle Lite goodies, and as always our photographer was there to capture all of these moments.

Dj Whiskey was first to hit the decks on the evening and man did he get the crowd fired up playing some popular house music for all music lovers to enjoy, the crowd was enjoying every track he was dropping and he really had the dance floor moving. And the leave it to a Pioneer of Deep House music to get the crowd relaxed, Glen Lewis smooth moves on the decks proved to be more than enough to compliment Dj Whiskey’s session, he took the crowd on a deep journey while providing some great music.

IT’S YOUR BOY TBO TOUCH!!!!!! That’s the only thing heard before Tbo Touch hit the decks laying and mixing some of the hottest tracks in the hip hop scene. Not forgetting the horn of course his signature voice over before dropping a track. “It was Lit” as social media says when something epic is taking place, this was the case with Tbo Touch on the evening; he had the crowd waving their hands in the air. Unfortunately we couldn’t get an interview with the artists who performed that night because they had other gigs to get to, but then again we do have some pictures from the event. We will be bringing you more events coverage from Lapeng, so keep it locked to the Dynasty!

Can anyone say, “Lady Glam?� We know some of our viewers, followers and readers are anticipating the re-launch of Lady Glamorous. It all started 2 years ago when Saul and Mthokozisi decided to run a semi magazine spread on Facebook, which contained magazine covers that they designed themselves and some local ladies were showcased on the cover each day of the week. This campaign became a hit on social media as friends, family and socialites got a chance to vote for their favorite ladies just by clicking LIKE on the picture.

We have come to the end of our very first issue of The Dynasty Magazine; we would like to thank a few people for making all of this happen. It’s been a long and gruesome journey for us to achieve such a feat; we really hope you enjoy the setup and layout of the magazine.
