ANNUAL GIVING PROGRAMME 2012/13
Why support Annual Giving? A first-rate education requires funding that cannot be met through school fees alone. Donations to the Annual Giving Programme support projects that immediately benefit the educational and social development of every girl in the school. Annual Giving contributions also help fund bursaries. We are committed to ensuring that a diverse group of girls are able to fulfil their academic and personal potential at Godolphin and Latymer, regardless of financial circumstances.
How will Annual Giving donations be used in 2013? This year, in addition to bursaries, donations to the Annual Giving Programme will fund important improvements in both the Science Department and the Art and Design Department. Science Laboratories All of our pupils study three science subjects from UIII, and we have seen a steady rise in the number of girls choosing to study science at university. Over 25% of our leavers accepted places on science courses in 2012. We wish to build upon this momentum and make the study of science increasingly attractive to our girls. To do this, we need to provide stateof-the-art facilities to challenge and inspire, including laboratories more conducive to group work and modern teaching techniques.

Funds raised through Annual Giving 2012/13 will help support the school’s laboratory modernisation programme.
Photography Equipment Photography is extremely popular at Godolphin and Latymer. It forms an essential part of the Art and Design curriculum across all years, including GCSE, A-level and IB examined levels of study. It also is a Duke of Edinburgh’s Award skill. We would like to purchase 20 state-of-the art SLR cameras and two largeformat digital cameras. The new cameras will enable the girls to capture high definition photographic images, and will give them the opportunity to learn a wider variety of processing techniques.
Bursary Support We are committed to ensuring a Godolphin and Latymer education is available to girls of intellectual promise from all backgrounds, regardless of financial circumstances. We presently support 54 girls through means-tested bursaries. We are working to broaden access to the school through our Bursary Scheme.
